When players try and steal half an inch by not putting the ball from a corner kick correctly in the quadrant. Referees/linesmen rightfully then make sure the ball is inside, as you know it’s in the laws of the game. But no doubt a few minutes later a player will either take a throw in 10 yards further forward than it was or take a free kick 5 yards further forward. Referee all of it or don’t fucking bother

I was watching the Alan Hull documentary on BBC Iplayer last night - presented by Sam Fender. There's a great part in it, where the lads are interviewed in 71? about their new release 'Fog on the Tyne' - saying they'd love it to be as well known to Geordies as the Blaydon Races, and perhaps the 20th century version that all Geordies know. I do like Local Hero, but I do agree that there could be better things to run out to imo.

Really happy with how we set up last night and we were unfortunate with the early injury and then a few mistakes (again). Eddie will keep us up no problem.

He’s easily been our most consistent performer since Howe has come in. After Wilson, he’s currently the first name on the team sheet for me. Yes, we bought him for his attacking ‘ability’ but the way he’s playing at the moment and with our options in CM I think we could do worse than trying him in there.
