  1. Never seen Phil spelt as Phyll. He’s spent the whole video on his phone n’all
  2. Guy is generally a scumbag. He voted against the 2nd Tyne tunnel and also against the Silverlink roundabout and A1 duelling. Had the misfortune of meeting him once before. He's an extremely bitter bastard. Hates NUFC or anything north of the Tyne for that matter. Openly admits it as well. Guy is a full blown Tosser. He sent his son to Whitley Bay High school despite living right next to John Spence. He sent him there because John Spence doesn’t have a good reputation or OFSTED rating, or at least it didn’t at the time, where as Whitley Bay did. If he was anyone else there is no way he would been able to send his kid to Whitley Bay over John Spence. Even if John Spence was full, he would have been required to send him to Marden, or Monkseaton ahead of Whitley Bay. It just so happens that both of those schools weren’t highly rated either. He was a teacher at Whitley High when i was there. He started dating a sixth form student and then left the school under a bit of a cloud i seem to remember. Then they got married a few years later. He was a right arsehole. Yes. He was born in 1957, left Whitley Bay High School in 1989 when he was 32. A sixth former would have been 18 when they left, so the scenario was he was 32 (or younger) and she was 18 when they started seeing each other. Not a good look for an MP. It must make for an uncomfortable moment when anyone asks him or his wife how they met. Christ. I thought it was bad enough when I was at Whitley High and a teacher took a lass from my year into his ‘bat cave’ and kissed her. Must be a Whitley High teacher thing Also Campbell’s office still haven’t replied to my NUST MP email yet.
  3. Has there been any discussion about what they’re going to do with next year STs? Not that I think I’ll now be getting one. Though the clamour for them if the takeover does happen will be horrific. How many may keep a hold JUST in case? Or could the number fall by more and more thousands?
  4. Cheers for the info, just goes to show that all this pressure appears to be making a difference. Who would have though it ? I think we’re fortunate that there’s enough of us to make a difference (and within that we have a solid amount of the fan base who are off their rocker. Which works in these situations!)
  5. Yeah just listened would recommend everyone listens to this. Alex Hurst details conversation with Staveley and Michael Martin speaks well as usual. Really good podcast. Anyone not wanting to join the Trust just for ONE! year at £2 needs their head shaking. It’s less than the price of a pint and every extra member we have adds something to the cause.
  6. Thought this was well known. A school friend’s dad was a Referee (mainly Championship but did ref a few PL games) and they were told in no uncertain terms not to send off big player names (Rooney, Gerrard etc etc). Because as if some of those players were banned it would affect the PL ‘brand’ and it’s pull to audiences in the Far East etc if the players they wanted to watch were unavailable for selection. So sometimes when you watch a game and you think the referee is biased towards a big club? It’s because that’s literally what they’re told to do. The whole thing is corrupt man.
  7. I thought the email the Trust sent out was excellent. This could be the catalyst to unite the whole fan base for the first time ever and yet people still moan. Howay man lads, let’s get behind them ffs.
  8. Thinks people enjoy being alcoholics too. Legend. Probably wears £200 Stone Island jackets and offers people outside for a fight for booing at the ground.
  9. I love how you’ve probably sat and stewed over that for 3 minutes inbetween posts. Tutting to yourself uncontrollably. I’m genuinely howling at how angry you are over that Chris
  10. Translation: ‘I’m never giving up my season ticket and I really enjoy paying someone each season to literally shaft me up the arse. Anyone who doesn’t like being shafted and decides to stand up for themselves is the arsehole - not me!’
  11. At this point I'd absolutely love to see a colossal shake up which would see the elite finally fuck off into some Euro Super League, which would see the big boys leave and take their overlords from the current authority with them. Let the rest of us just crack on and enjoy life without the crippling 'know your place' agenda, while the likes of Tottenham are scrabbling around looking for points at the bottom of their swanky new Eliteasaurus. I listened to this the other day and I really enjoyed it. They talk about this a lot. How easy it would be? God only knows. https://pod.link/1494785197/episode/QnV6enNwcm91dC00NzQwNzAx
  12. They’ve all been at it. They’re delighted but can’t help but get a sly dig in too because at the end of the day Newcastle as a city and a club mattters not a jot to them or their existence. And yet are terrified of a rejuvenated NUFC gatecrashing the party. They enjoyed it in the 90s - I doubt they’d be so keen to see it this time around.
  13. He really is a wanker. He should go and report on his beloved Leyton Orient instead of winding us all up at every available opportunity.
  14. Luke Edwards still maintains Mauriss is in pole position to buy us and Edwards has spent 8 months writing an article about it. Arsehole
  15. Cut off after 2 minutes. Spoke very well when he was allowed to. They’re now just chatting shit about the FA Cup Final.
  16. Back to my rugby club, Novocastrians, for the foreseeable future again. Fortiter Defendit Triumphans as our mutual city and club motto goes.
  17. I believe it. But why had they not approved it by now? That’s what’s most frustrating as we all know what Ashley is like.
  18. I’m devastated of course. I thought it was my way back into supporting NUFC again full time. I’ve missed it since I gave up my ST six years ago. However, I think I’m more devastated about the way they’d invested into the city. The city could have been an exciting hub of investment and opportunity. Let’s face it, we’re not going to get it off the Government, especially when the economic fall out begins to hit in the next few months. This deal could have changed the face of our city and the region. Reading that the Reubens has been donating to the a West End food bank makes it all the more upsetting. One day we’ll get the club we deserve. It could be a bumpy ride - much worse than we’ve experienced in the last 13 years.
  19. Nailed on next season if no other takeover is forthcoming. ASM to be sold as well do we reckon?
  20. Wow. Unbelievable stuff. My friends and family are a tiny cog in anything Newcastle United - but that’s a group of six of us who were prepared to queue overnight for STs if the takeover happened - now walking away for good. If you multiply that by thousands, Chuck in the inevitable relegation next season - this club could be fucked for another generation. The Premier League has totally shafted us. This was a lot more than just a collection of supporters, but an entire city - one of the most impoverished in the UK, which needed an economic boost with the impending depression about to set in. This really fucking stinks.
  21. On Radio Newcastle about an hour ago (after the Donald interview), they said that a club insider had told them it was going to be announced tomorrow. Did anyone else hear that? I’ve seen nothing at all on twitter or anything to confirm that?! Were my ears playing tricks on me?
