This! So obvious!! Playing for a job methinks. Couldn’t think of owt worse than him being involved tbh
-
Not surprised. The city was bouncing and you couldn’t get a hotel room as far north as Berwick and as far south as Darlington
-
The Heineken cup weekend last year was tremendous as well. The city/SJP got a lot of love from the Irish and French lads I got talking to in the Hotspur.

Totally, I can see why they would want in, not why the 80% stakeholders would want them in. I’m genuinely more happy that they’re involved tbh. East Pilgrim Street is in need of being totally revamped - and I fucking hate Stack. Not got a problem with that but that doesn't explain why the majority owner (getting ahead of myself) would let them in. Was there not discussions between Staveley and the Reubens first? Perhaps they then brought in PIF who wanted more control/say/willing to put more money in? Hmm. It’s fun for a bit, I can’t get my head around people who queue to get in mind, when there’s literally hundreds of other drinking holes! Yeah but the money calls the shots and I just wondered why the money would keep the Ruebens in there.......and I wouldn't queue up for Stack as much as I like it, particularly in winter. The Reubens "EPS" plans have barely started yet, Stack is a temporary infil, but there is at least ten years of re-development work to happen in the EPS area of the City Centre. I reckon that will just be "for starters", with the Reubens and Saudis getting actively involved in the City Centre and around the rest of Newcastle. If it means the end of Pearl House and whatever the hell overhangs gets road (next to old Odeon) then that would be amazing!

Are we sure this is correct? I think when she says she’s a ‘fan’ of a Newcastle, it means she likes us. As opposed to being a ‘supporter’.

Am I the only one who would want to build any success gradually? I just think theres something really empty with the way Man City and Chelsea's achieved success. Chelsea barely even care about success now they've had it all. I'd hate for that to happen to our club after waiting so long, I'd be more than happy to wait a little longer as long as I could see us getting there. This please

Fuck them. They can hardly moan. 2 titles, an FA Cup and a Cup Winners Cup in the 80s and an FA Cup as recently as 95. Haven’t been in the second tier since the 50s (only four years in their entire history). They’ve had it fucking easy by comparison.

That's that "Shell" girl on twitter, no? The bloke is more annoying than the lass

It looks shite n’all

You quit the same summer as me. I’ve barely posted regularly on here since then, a positive correlation with my loss of love for all things NUFC. I’ve craved this day for so long, it almost doesn’t feel real. I can’t say I’m overjoyed with the Saudi backing - but who else would there have been? I think a Reuben ticket alongside Staveley would have been much preferred. But I’m sure she would have tried that first and gotten nowhere. However, saying all of that. I’ve waited far too long and lived with far too much hate for everything (and I mean everything) associated with NUFC to not try and enjoy this now. If I can’t, it really is game over supporting the club for me. It hasn’t been easy, but this week has shown me I do still care, and I can’t really say how I’ll feel until I see that first goal go in - I honesty don’t think I’ve properly celebrated a goal since 2013. It’s madness to think that something that encapsulated my whole life before then has meant so little to me in the last 5 or 6 years. From a purely selfish perspective, I just want that passion back in my life.

Can’t be any worse than this:
-
That’s what I mean. Even just being able to sit in the stand without having to wear a disguise would be nice
-
I hope he’s in the stands at the very least for our first game under new owners. A half time pitch appearance would be immense.
-
I was wondering that- good news if true. Place wouldn't be the same without the longtime season ticket holders back I’m not sure it’s true. Bloke at work got one for his kid and apparently had option to renew? Absolute bummer if true. I hope not

Is there a list out there on longest cup droughts? I assume we’re one of the longest? On reading this, I never knew that Fulham and Crystal Palace have never won a major trophy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drought_(sport)#Association_football

Where are we at with safe standing? That can increase capacity in standing areas by 50% can’t it?
-
Dreadful around there. It seems to have its own microclimate of ‘Tornado’ whenever I watch the Falcons. Gosforth (Newcastle Falcons) should never have moved to KP in all honesty. At the very least they should have bought the old county ground (now Asda) and rebuilt it from there. Gosforth would have been a much better ground with better infrastructure (pubs, metro etc) than where they are now. You just can’t move to the middle of nowhere and it expect it to be the same.

Got to hope we can buy back Strawberry Place...

Full link https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52302094 You spoke well. We need the dust to settle and the deal to go through before we even start thinking about this conversation imo.

2-4wks Lockdown might be over by then though.... Imagine?

That was peak forum that Can you buy tickets without the other being there? Who bloody knows.

I’d argue we deserve credit for making everyone notice that we were sick. Let’s be fair, every single protest/boycott prior to the exodus last summer was futile. Good luck getting it back mate. Hope I do too! I’d like to think everyone who sacrificed their ticket should be applauded! Who knows?! I don’t really care tbh. I just want to be back singing and supporting again! Fingers crossed for you too. I’ll be camping in the queue outside the ticket office on 30th June that’s for sure. Too right mate, it’s the only way. They’ll be like Gold bars at first. Hopefully the Trust can do their bit and the club give people like us a chance to return, although that’ll go down like a lead balloon with the support the team lot. I’ve already been labelled a deserter. So yeah. I doubt they’ll be too happy...
