  1. Got to hope we can buy back Strawberry Place...
  2. Full link https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52302094 You spoke well. We need the dust to settle and the deal to go through before we even start thinking about this conversation imo.
  3. That was peak forum that Can you buy tickets without the other being there? Who bloody knows.
  4. I’d argue we deserve credit for making everyone notice that we were sick. Let’s be fair, every single protest/boycott prior to the exodus last summer was futile. Good luck getting it back mate. Hope I do too! I’d like to think everyone who sacrificed their ticket should be applauded! Who knows?! I don’t really care tbh. I just want to be back singing and supporting again! Fingers crossed for you too. I’ll be camping in the queue outside the ticket office on 30th June that’s for sure. Too right mate, it’s the only way. They’ll be like Gold bars at first. Hopefully the Trust can do their bit and the club give people like us a chance to return, although that’ll go down like a lead balloon with the support the team lot. I’ve already been labelled a deserter. So yeah. I doubt they’ll be too happy...
  5. If the 10,000 have to go through general sale like everybody else...that should help. There may be a fair few who stopped their DD this month as well? I’m unsure if the best way to go is to queue at the Box Office or to do it online. I think the club struggled with the capacity when 10,000 applied. So maybe box office is the way to go?

  7. Had a few twitter arguments with morons who think those who ‘deserted’ the club (I’d call it a boycott) in the last 12 years shouldn’t be allowed season tickets compared to those who’ve ‘stayed through thick and thin’. Our fan base man... Some of them don’t deserve what’s about to happen and I almost wouldn’t want to share a stadium with them tbh. But they’re not stopping the likes of me and Heron[/member] etc from going back. Wankers
  8. I could live without Gareth Bale, like. If we're being choosy I don't love the thought of a blank chequebook. It's not like I care about winning. Just getting the club back is enough. Exactly I’d have to agree. I’d rather a genuine and methodical approach at building the club organically. Part of me is actually more excited to see what the Reuben’s do with Pilgrim Street and develop the city centre. I just want to support my club again and for the city to benefit from it.
  9. 7 We've had 1 in 20 years. And that was a league game. This is our longest ever run without a Wembley Final. 21 years and counting... Longest before that was 19 years (1932-51 & 1955-74) and 20 years (1976-96). Depressing I'm not having the charity shield as a final. Stop ruining my agenda Regardless, if we don’t make the FA Cup final this year, next year we’ll have tied our longest run without a final at Wembley/indeed any final (including games at the Crystal Palace etc)

  11. We are going to get absolutely bummed next season when this luck runs out and Ashley doesn’t think he needs to invest.
  12. I don’t understand football. Clearly.
  13. The boys just never give up. This is what Bruce does! Etc etc
  14. I found this embarrassing. For all the Newcastle fans saying it was an easy mistake to make....that’s absolute bollocks I’m afraid. I wasn’t born for another 20 years but I know it was ‘74. I know we won 3 FACs in the 1950s (51,52,55). How would you not know that as a fan who LIVED through it? I’m sure the old timers on here would never forget that it was 1974. In fact I bet many of them would say that the game at Hillsbrough v Burnley is up there with the best game they ever attended. Thats how you remember. Bruce is a fucking charlatan man.
  15. Does he do it on purpose? I’m quite looking forward to Douglas, Edwards et al refusing to admit they ever liked Bruce when we go on a 10 match run without a win next season.
  16. I backed up Rafa facts against Mark Douglas last night. I’ve woken up this morning to streams of abuse I’m so disenfranchised from my club, its supporters and institutions like The Chronicle. It’s actually unbearable to feel this way about the club you love - yet feeling so helpless and on your own when it comes to the fan base. I thought the fan base was divided under Pardew. This is so much worse - yet to me it seems clear as day what’s eventually going to happen. And there won’t be a world class manager stepping in to save us from oblivion this time. Quite frankly, we’re going to deserve everything we get.
  17. Can’t believe how fans on Twitter are taking the piss out of fans who supported Rafa. As if results like today vindicate him leaving. I can’t wait for this to all blow up and turn to shit. It looks like we’re going to have to wait another year though. Enjoy it while it lasts
  18. Even being fortunate enough to have a ST during the Robson years as a young lad, I honestly think that moment and the week leading up to the Bolton game was some of the happiest I’ve ever had as a Newcastle fan. By the time Keegan had left he really had turned around a dreadful side that I think would have been close to relegation by the end of the 07/08 season. I still feel robbed as a fan. I’d love to see in an alternative universe where we’d have reached with Keegan. I don’t think it would have been anything special. Perhaps a top 6 finish and a cup run of sorts. But it would have been fun whilst it lasted. 8 months was too short and just cruel for a 14 year old. Can you tell I’m not over it yet?
  19. Before VAR everyone would have watched the reply and said that was onside by a mile. Absolute joke
