That's a really good idea! Most of our fans love that combo, it's become almost iconic. The 3rd kit could be used to do something diffrent. Btw, also love that blue one a few posts up. And was the original club colours (East End) I think. I wish we’d go back to home kits lasting two years as well.

What capacity would that be?

Nice! Make it happen. Wow

Newcastle is a very large UK City, we are at the centre of the 6th largest conurbation in the UK, with a population within the City Boundary of 300,000, which is large but is small compared to our 'real' population which is understated statistically because of the "weird" local authority boundaries we have had since 1974. All of (for example) London is "in London", whereas here, large parts of "obvious built-up Newcastle" are for administrative purposes managed within North Tyneside, South East Northumberland, and Gateshead, hence the "population stats" are unrepresentative of reality. I have sometimes heard this "Newcastle is a small City" statement (when it obviously isn't) in the past, and usually it is because people are actually only talking about the City Centre. Some people call the City Centre "Newcastle" to the seeming exclusion of the rest of Newcastle. We do have a very 'compact' City Centre, but that is only less than 5% of the City of Newcastle. Anyway, I agree, we must keep the ground in the City Centre !!! We need the boundaries to go back to pre 74 tbh. I hate the whole Tyne and Wear debacle.

How long does it take for a pitch to set?......or do they know there won’t be any home games in the next month. The pitch lights are all locked away under The Leazes. The pitch can’t survive without them due to the lack of natural light. They’ve clearly ripped up the pitch as they know it won’t be played on again for the foreseeable. The pitch survived for years before they got the pitch lights. They will just be doing it to maximise the time they can have for the pitch to bed in. There clearly isn’t going to be any games at SJP anytime soon. Even if the game in played behind closed doors and as a home game and not a neutral venue, it could quite possibly be played at the training ground. Pre 2000 they ere fine. Not since they built up the Milburn and Leazes though. Naa, we had one of the worst pitches in the league in Keegan's first stint as manager; he'd often complain about it hampering our passing style. Wasn't till we got the pitch lights that it improved. I meant that the pitch could get natural light before 2000. Since 2000, we had the new stands which reduced natural light for half of the pitch, hence the need for the pitch lights. And the fact they’re locked away, clealrh means no football will be played on them, as parts of the pitch die without the pitch lights. I get your point about the KK days though. The pitch never looked great. As a side note I can never believe how bad Anfield’s pitch looked in the 1996 4-3 defeat

If you eat into the Academy ground. They could potentially expand eastwards to East Benton Farm, but quite a few applications to build around there have been turned down IIRC. manorpark[/member] will know

Why? It’s a democratic group?

I still can’t believe they went through with it. NCC are fucking useless

Pretty interesting, particularly the first few minutes

They own the plot at the bottom of Pilgrim St where the old Bank of England building was and much of the derelict land around it. Not sure if they own all the way up to the container park. The own The Stack. It is temporary until they finalise plans for the site. The Reubens own a very large area of the City Centre. That area is known as the "East Pilgrim Street (EPS) Development Area" and covers all of the City Centre from Carliol House down to 55 Degrees North, and from Pilgrim Street eastwards to the Central Motorway East (CME). This is the area shown here, within the red line . . . Nice. It could do with being regenerated. Everything east of Monument is a bit meh imo

I hope so. She’s excellent

Yep. We flogged David Kelly after he got us promoted ffs. It’s the same with players and managers of any era

In the words of Oz from Auf Pet you ‘Jammy Arab’. (Can we say that anymore now we have Saudi overlords?)

Shockingly expensive for the shite on show this season
-
This season’s from ‘The Mag’: Unless you are in the family section (and ignoring Seating Category Three which is just a very small number of seats) the starting price for adult season tickets in the Leazes and Gallowgate (Seating Category Two) is £659 for adults. So much for Newcastle fans low prices compared to most of the rest of the Premier League. That works out at £34.68 per match and that is committing to paying for the full season. As for those in the East Stand (Seatin gCategory One) you are looking at £811, which is £42.68 per match. The 2019/20 season ticket prices (in brackets the 2018/19 prices): Family Area £417 (£397) Adult £340 (£324) Student and Senior Citizen £86 (£82) Under 18s Seating Category Three £600 (£571) Adult £480 (£457) Student and Senior Citizen £174 (£166) Under 18s Seating Category Two £659 (£628) Adult £536 (£510) Student and Senior Citizen £217 (£207) Under 18s Seating Category One £811 (£772) Adult £667 (£635) Student and Senior Citizen £327 (£311) Under 18s

I've spoken to a mate who works in the finance dept. He reckons the 10,000 STs were only for the remainder of the season and they couldn't be reserved as a full ST for next season. So fingers crossed lads

Yep. Just hold your hands up and say it man

Think the idea that pleases me most is the ground potentially looking like that again. Changing the Newcastle United font to match Sports Direct was such a dick move. Totally unnecessary. Yep. It’s a fucking tacky font and clearly done on the cheap. They didn’t even clean it underneath so you can still see the old font ffs. I was working for the club as a coach doing photos and signing kids to the Academy the day it was taken down. I remember putting a post on here and it was meltdown

Is Allegri classed as elite and outrageously good? Or not yet? Aye, he's elite as fuck. He's been learning English for a while and has been waiting for the 'right job' in England since he resigned at Juve. He's won Serie A six times since the 2010-11 season I still want Rafa

f***ing Greg beat me to it. 'last edit by Greg' nice. Damn right. I'm not the idiot off Masterchef nor I am a seller of vegan sausage rolls. Still going on about Masterchef Gregggggg needs to calm down like

How big is the family enclosure these days? Is it still around 5k? I remember when I first got my ST in Leazes L7 as an 8 year old in 2001, the waiting list for the 500 seater family enclosure was years. I was never bothered, I much preferred the 'real thing'. It shows how many supporters have left over the years, by creating cheap seats for families (which is great). However, I do wonder for atmosphere and £ if we should be slowly trying to reduce the family enclosure? Or am I just being harsh...?
