Problem with Villa is that his fitness has declined drastically after his year-long injury, coupled with age. He's not a player that you can start both the weekend and then midweek CL ties. He usually was winded at around min 60 in any demanding fixture this year. Other than that, he's still an excellent player. Atlético only need one of Adrián and Baptistao to come good this season to have enough upfront to get by.

You get to read about the underbelly of youth football and the crazy recollection of young footballers to get the next Messi for 200$ before anybody else does. And it isn't pretty.
