  1. La Liga? Serie A? You can't be money driven when you have no money! But yeah, La Liga pisses on fans more than the PL, imho.
  2. I think you're overreacting a bit just because an assistant ref has been dropped Much more things wronger in football than that. In general refereeing bodies don't like refs making the headlines.

    MLS

Yes, that's gonna work. Stylish European hair though.
  4. Barça's president has confirmed in an interview that ManCity bid for Barça players, although he hasn't named them, and said players turned them down.
  5. Apparently Dortmund got a €6m buyout option on Sahin after Madrid loaned him back to them. That would be a brilliant piece of business after selling him for €12m.
  6. Another Spaniard having to immigrate to Germany for work
  7. Pizzi? Atlético bought him just a few months ago, and you can't recall loans in Spain anyway.
  8. Aspas, Baptistao...both with €10m release clauses IIRC.

    Loïc Remy

Just read this. Oh f***. Hope he enjoys coming out at the footballing cathedral that is Loftus Road.
  10. Osasuna have accepted a bid from Swansea for Roland Lamah.

To be frank, I have always seen Remy playing off big men like Gignac or Brandao. He's used to a support/wing role but Cissé is a different kind of striker. Reckon he'll be fine if he regains his form/confidence. He was one of Ligue 1's best players just a couple years ago.
  12. Given his age and potential, it's a steal indeed. wasn't aware it was so low.
  13. He's brilliant, but already linked with Atlético and a host of others. And yeah, given our economy and the players you could get from troubled clubs, you would be stupid not to scout in Spain. Somebody like Michu went for €2m because Rayo are in dire straits (gotta say I didn't expect him being so successful).
  14. Over you maybe, over Juventus? No way.
  15. Fantastic game from us today, I thought. Hope we can keep this form going into the business end of the season. Happy to see Bunoanotte coming into his own at Málaga, hopefully he gets a run of games now. He was going be to sold this January but has scored a few in the last couple weeks from sub appearances.

That does not belong in here Obnoxious yankees fans go to any thread they fucking want, since they are Yankees fans.

  18. To be frank, getting that lot to play shit would be an achievement on itself.
  19. Get out. Make your own race a bit interesting . No.
  20. Sort of pulling for Liverpool here (sorry). Just want the PL race to get a bit interesting.
  21. He impressed me a year ago playing for Real Madrid Castilla. Real Madrid would be mad to not buy him back; he's streets ahead of Arbeloa. Will probably be the first Real Madrid youth player to make it there since Casillas.
  22. So far he looks like a classical SA #10. Great technique and some magical moments but being anonymous for large amounts of the game, plus he doesn't have the presence and workrate of his brother in the pitch. He's probably got more flair than him, but he's not as complete. He's still young, though. I think he'll go on to become a pretty good player, but I'm not sure he'll succeed here. But I stress, he's just 19.
  23. They are. But take Messi out of Barca and they'd struggle, too. That's the Spanish NT and we've done allright But I think they rely on him more. Take Cronaldo, Falcao and Messi out of their teams and Barça would still be La Liga's top goalscoring side. It's also a leadership thing; Cronaldo is the only one to give a damn nowadays, as witnessed yesterday. That was the most apathetic Real Madrid game I have seen since Mou's been managing them. I don't think it can be measured over one odd game here and there. AM would struggle, yes. But for Barca and Real, I don't think they would struggle over the long term if CR and Messi got long term injuries let's say. Barca would still be superior, but Real wouldn't be that far behind. One of the things that I like about Vilanova if how's been working out other goalscoring "paths" (to call them in a way) should Messi have a bad game. Watch the Catalan derby, Messi had a poor game yet we won 4-0 thanks to people like Fàbregas or Pedro; and we had a boatload more chances. I agree you can't measure this from the odd game, mind. But somehow I feel more confident this season about us as a team.
