Nobody is expecting him to set matches alight but displaying a basic level of effort would be nice. Realise we are desperate for some creativity in the team but it shouldn't mean there is a ban on questioning the attitude of our 'flair players'. Wanting to see players mildly interested in playing for the club doesn't equate to spunking over the thought of 11 Cattermoles raging about the pitch. Bimpy, to answer your bizzare Shola questioning, I don't want him in the team any more than I want Marveaux in the team. He may have influenced my username but I'm pretty sure, for example, that WarrenBartonCentrePartin isn't in favour of the the exhumation and signing of our former fullback.

Work rate doesn't matter at all for an attacking midfielder unless you are Jose Mourinho Alarmingly incorrect. And I'm not sure what's so funny SanToon, if an average player is going to pull on a Newcastle shirt the least we can hope for is a bit of effort. This lad has blatantly got attitude problems. Lost cause.

Poor man-management or not, it was clear to anyone watching the Spurs game that his effort when he came on with fresh legs was an absolute joke. Doesn't have the talent to counteract his work rate. Needs to be part of the summer clearout.

Come 1.30 on Sunday I will be of the short-sighted opinion that anything other than a Newcastle victory is a disappointment. Wish I could get excited by the prospect of a new manager, but I can't. The fat fucking tapeworm will still be deep inside the club's intestines. 3 points please.

He seemed to be the leader of an unbelievably tragic protest pre-match opposite Shearers. -
Taylor isn't a cunt and find it hard to believe that people have developed genuine hatred towards him. He's an utter heedthaball who is as shit as anyone else atm. Displays his love for the club with very strange gestures, but to hate him? Nah.

A tad extreme.

Pretty much the only one who looked like he gave a fuck tonight tbf to him.

The creativity was sat on the bench and didn't come on until after we'd replaced our left back while behind. Indeed. As much as I despair at the lack of effort at the end, watching Ben Arfa's occasional unproductive bursts is certainly preferable to watching Cisse and De Jong wander about in zombie-like trances. Either way, we still have next to no creativity. Very depressing to watch.

He has limited creativity at his disposal but he could at least try and get them to put up a fight. Shambolic.
-
He's weird this one. Can be useful when he gets his head down and bursts towards goal, but he spends the majority of the game looking like a lost drunk. Will never be any more than a midtable player.

yeah passion wins games tbh. Would rather not start skilful players like. The bloke who scored their first and third goals is famed for his committment and passion. I'd have started Ben Arfa fwiw. Let's just ignore the fact he gave up after about 10 minutes though. He's far from the only one, but howay man, the sweet prince shouldn't be immune from criticism. -
Should probably have started and was bright for a couple of minutes after he came on. Was one moment where a Spurs player walked past him and he didn't even attempt to put a tackle in. Minging, absolutely minging.

What did I just freeze my bollocks off for? Just a miserable affair from start to finish. Was fuming at half time at the fact we'd lined up with those two immobile lumps upfront, then realised in the second half that Ben Arfa and Marveaux have the combined passion of a screwdriver. Don't know what to think right now, but that was fucking ghastly. The effort from some at the end when Spurs were going for their 4th was disgusting. -
Of course Moyes is better than Pardew. That's why he's manager of Man Utd and not our embarrassment of a club. Why do BT sport keep twocking the matches. Owen you twat.
