He’s one of a board of many, people need to get over this obsession with him. His contacts and reach have been invaluable to the board over last six months. I'm sure they have, but the bloke wants fucking gagging, man. Virtually every supporter group is behind a boycott, including The Magpie Group - which he's a part of. He's basically a celebrity fan these days so he needs to be more self-aware. Maybe so but the reality of the situation, which will become clear after the Arsenal match, is that 45k or so are not behind a boycott. I'm hoping the crowd will be far lower than that but it wouldn't surprise me if it's still 45k+.

I still say we've made it far too easy for them to be nasty though. A proper fanbase would have put a stop to all this years ago.
-
He's picking up Longstaff to fly him down to Manchester.
-
Calling other groups out on twitter "what do they have to hide?" What a fucking moron. And fine if you dont want to boycott but whats the point going around Twitter telling everyone about it? Well I know what the point is but god, idiot. Get rid of him asap. Doesn't really matter what he wants. Surely the idea of the trust is that any major decisions are put to a vote.

I thought Wraith started boycotting a few years ago and had started watching Dunston instead?

Rafa has signed up as a member of the trust.

Could well hit 7,000 members by close of play today.

I've got to say that living in Wallsend and working in Killingworth (so I'm basically surrounded by NUFC fans) my experience is different. Of all the season ticket holders I Know, and I know a lot, I reckon it's more or less 50/50 in terms of people who have renewed and people who have either already cancelled or are waiting to see what happens. I'd be absolutely amazed if they shift 30k season tickets for next season. In fact if you go back to the 10/11 PL season there was only 28k season ticket holders and I reckon it could be lower than that.
-
The 2 main reasons given by those who refuse to pack their season tickets in and are happy to comply with Mike Ashley and his destruction of NUFC are; 1. I'll lose my loyalty points though. 2. Nobody is going to tell me what to do with my spare time and money. Says it all really.

Always enjoy reading balanced opinion from other clubs forums. Here's Rangers take on it; https://www.followfollow.com/forum/threads/rafa-benitez-releases-statement-after-leaving-newcastle-united.80288/

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Frank in at Tottenham

Another name to add to the list. -
I'm fine with all of this except the bit in bold. I'm done with peaceful now and that is one of our downfalls. We are too polite up here!

Seems like he's refusing to budge on certain aspects of the sale, namely his SD advertising and wanting to retain merchandising rights. He only owned a tiny percentage of Rangers and they still can't shake him off. His SD advertising is still displayed around Ibrox and he still pockets 90% of their merchandising sales (hes had them in court a few times as well) so imagine how hard it's going to be for us to get rid of the parasite. Face it takeover, isn't, and never was happening. Lock the thread up. In fact lock the full club up. Its fucking dead.

I had a season ticket during the Ardiles era and 20k was a very good gate in those days. Crowds usually hovered between 16-18k but for midweek games v the likes of Cambridge and Southend it would drop to 13-14k.

Is he paying by direct debit? Tell him to get in touch with his bank using the instructions above! He's got his daughter looking into it. He pays by DD but all up front. Also pays for his grandsons. He's got a few quid so it's not the end of the world if he doesn't get it back but he's adamant he's done till Ashley's gone.

I think there'll be under 45k v Arsenal now. I know quite a few season ticket holders and most of them have either cancelled or are considering cancelling their tickets for next season. One of them, an elderly fella who I work with, has been going since the early 60s and has had a season ticket every season since they opened the East stand up in 1972. Takes his grandson with him now. He's packed his in, and is quite a bit out of pocket by doing so, which I still can't quite believe. I actually shook his hand when he told me yesterday.

Incredible really. Those same people also turned on those who cast doubt over his claims as well. I wont embarrass them though. They know who they are. Eh? They have the most right to feel bad about it, no? They stuck up for him, trusted him, of course they’re pissed off. Nice try at the moral high ground though. Just try and make sense next time. Makes perfect sense. You're just too thick to grasp it. A lesson learned for you and certain others though if you want to take any positives from it.

That's one thing he won't do. The club panicked after the Spurs boycott a few years ago but unfortunately the fans didn't build on that and went back to filling the ground again and a few years previous to that when crowds went sub 45k he started flogging dirt cheap season tickets from the October to try to fill the ground up. He hates the thought of empty seats.
-
This. Spending £600 on a season ticket, but then only missing the Arsenal game is a total waste of time. If you're still prepared to stump up the money for a season ticket you might as well just take your seat tbh. You've gave him the money he wants off you for another year anyway. A total boycott of the club is now the only way. Tickets, merchandise, corporate boxes, the lot. Starve him of every penny of the £30odd million the fans contribute every year, and that, coupled with the embarrassment of an empty stadium and all his SD signage now looking rather silly to a backdrop of empty seats, will soon have him away on his toes.
-
That blokes an utter bell end and likely a Sunderland fan I actually read through his timeline because that's what I thought buy no, he's a Newcastle fan. There's plenty more like him out there as well!
-
Some people glad to see the back of him anyway

We played Arsenal at home on the opening day of the 2011/12 season (the year we finished 5th) and the attendance was 46,894. There's not a chance it's going to be over 50k like.
-
and plenty of people will buy it Most of the 40 odd thousand who turn up against Arsenal for starters.
