Their last few home FA Cup crowds have all been 4 figures.
-
I got on at 10.03 for the Palace game (league) this season which is the earliest I've been on and there was masses of availability everywhere. We got 4 together in the Gallowgate no problem and there was still loads in the East Stand especially towards the Leazes and other popular areas. However for the Fulham game coming up I didn't get on till around 10.30 and there wasn't a great deal left other than L7. Just 1s and 2s dotted around so that 25 mins or so made a massive difference.

We hit 44k under Bobby Robson and for our first season back in the Prem under Benitez which was the maximum the club could sell. For Rafa's last season it had dropped to 38k as Ashley hiked the prices right up for people not on long term deals and subsequently a few crowds dipped below 50k. Bruce's appointment knocked a further 8k off. A friend of mine was 14,000 odd in the queue for the Chelsea match and was successful in getting a ticket.

31,000. Dropped down to 30k under Bruce and they released around 1k for sale this season.

Terrible subs, ref even worse than I expected him to be.
-
Joelinton should be in there with ASM out wide.
-
Rumoured to have had sex with a dog and made a vile joke about disabled people. The pair of them are wrong 'uns.
-
These refs, the Madeley brothers have always hated NUFC. Proper wrong 'uns. Still remember the disgraceful Coloccini decision at sunderland. We'll get nowt off him today. I think one of them was accused of having sex with an animal, a dog I think.

Neville and Carracher both commented that Spurs v Arsenal last season was the best atmosphere they'd experienced. Maybe its the fact that season tickets coat £2k thus pricing out many traditional fans that's the real atmosphere killer. Also got to say the atmosphere at the first few derbies we played at the SoL was absolutely electric and better than anything at Roker Park. The current design of SJP makes creating an atmosphere more difficult. There's no denying that.

He's only asking about supoorters who will be in Newcastle on a matchday who maybe can't get a ticket but still want to watch the match in the town where they might be ffs.

That was started when we played Man Utd at the Millenium Stadium. They were battering us yet we were making all the noise whereas they were just stood there. 35,000 NUFC fans started belting it out. Should have been a one off moment but then other clubs started copying us and it's carried on ever since. Agree it's shite now. -
They need to ask how many they are giving away then because even with the 10k season ticket giveaway our ticket revenue was still 3 times greater than theirs!

League Cup Quarter Final Draw - Newcastle vs Leicester

Having to beat 5 Premier League clubs to win it could have been easier mind, but getting home draws has been massive I agree. -

Great game that but Sky totally over analyse games to the point where it becomes extremely boring listening to them mind. -

Would be perfect but I don't think we're that lucky! I think we draw one of the big 2 left in tonight. In saying that I'm confident whoever we get. -
As has been proven on numerous occasions that lot don't think there's anything wrong with a bit of casual noncing. They cheered him more once the allegations came out and RTG has harboured at least 3 nonces over the years that I know of.

Jaap Stam was really ugly. Sven is a bit of a looker.

Cheers mate, that's the one.

Thought he did very well when he came on and would have had an assist to his name if it wasn't for Wood's dreadful miss at the end. I'm sure ASM alluded to Wood playing so much in Wilsons absence last season as a reason for his own poor assist statistics but can't find a direct quote. Something just sticks in my head about it.

Thought he was absolutely outstanding again last night. MOTM for me. Incredible to think we've never lost a game in which he has played in.
-
Was disappointed the crowd didn't put more pressure on the ref for the disallowed goal and turning away what looked an obvious penalty. Other than some half hearted booing he got off very lightly.
-
It was better than the Palace game. The Gallowgate got a good rendition of Eddie Howes black and white army going for a good 5-10 mins at the start of the 2nd half which most of the ground seemed to join in with and there was pockets of singing around the Gallowgate but we just have to accept that these games will see loads of kids and families there (which is a good thing) and with the best will in the world they won't replicate the usual league atmosphere. If we get a home draw next with a place in the Semis at stake it'll be completely different.

The referee and linesman were both happy with the goal originally. Linesman didn't flag and it looked like the ref gave it. Bournemouth players surrounded him and he went over to speak to the linesman who then decided to flag for offside. Was pretty bizarre to be honest and goes against the famous old saying that you should never argue with the referee because he's not going to change his decision.

Was there last night. Thought we did OK all things considered, going so long without a competitive game and playing against a team that had just came to spoil the game and time waste. Nowhere near our best but still managed to control things with just a couple of scares in the 2nd half and Pope once again showing how important he is, being a virtual spectator for the most part but making a couple of quality saves when needed. Obviously being there I didn't have the benefit of commentary but there were 2 big controversial decisions both went against us and it was difficult to see why. The disallowed goal looked fine (I was in the Gallowgate), the linesman didn't flag for anything and the ref seemed happy enough with it. Then a couple of Bournemouth players complain, he walks over to the linesman amd he flags for offside when it was clear he literally didn't have a clue and was clearly told to do it! Then we had what looked like a clear penalty turned down for a handball. Granted I was down the other end of the ground but even from where I was sat it looked like a blatant penalty. Summed up a pretty odd display from the referee and I never thought I'd say this but I'll be glad of VAR making its return on Boxing Day. I don't think enough of our referees these days can be trusted to make the right calls without it. Anyway we're into the Quarters in a competition we have a hideous record in, and that's what's most important.
