Exactly. Aside from that I'd have more sympathy on the PSR restrictions side if things if he hadn't spunked £180m on Wissa, Woltemade and Elanga. If you add in the loan fee for Ramsdale as well that's probably not a kick in the arse off £200m last summer on 4 flops.

It's funny but every time I go to a Non League game I come away realising how much more I enjoy myself than if I'd went to a Premier League match. The game we went to yesterday saw Berwick Rangers run out 4-2 winners. After going to Gretna last weekend and seeing them win 7-2 that's 15 goals we've seen in the last 2 games. We didn't even pay to get in yesterday. With it being the last game of the season because we sponsor one of the players away kits we were allowed in for free and had a table reserved for us with a full afternoon tea, sarnies, pastries, cakes, 2 bottles of Estrella, tea, coffee and 2 programmes. Wish I'd known we would be getting that before we got there otherwise I wouldn't have bought a load of stuff in Greggs before getting on the train

This is utter garbage tbf. I'm yet to speak to a single NUFC fan who thinks they could do a better job of managing NUFC. However I've spoken to a few who think that there's managers out there who could be doing a better job than Howe is currently.
-
There was absolute chaos on the trains yesterday after a broken down train at Doncaster blocked the line. Our train to Berwick was delayed over 2 hrs (we managed to get on a Trans Pennine that started from Newcastle) but loads of trains going North were either cancelled or massively delayed. Judging by the amount of NUFC fans getting off trains I'd say a fair few would have been affected and missed the match which would explain some gaps in the stands.

We aren't getting 6th/7th so it's a moot point really. We've already lost 15 league games this season and this time next week it'll be 16. You don't finish top 6/7 when you're losing that many games and to put that into perspective Spurs have been an absolute joke this season and have only been beaten 16 times. I wish I could sit here and say we've been unlucky and we've deserved more but no, based on our performances from August up until now we are exactly where we deserve to be.
-
Well it's fair to say it's not coming next week! We aren't capable of going there and doing what Bournemouth did last week.
-
Aye we aren't getting relegated. I think Leeds will overtake us though and we'll finish in 15th position which is utter shit given the investment in the squad.

Arsenal away next

Till the end marra.....

Fair play they've got some things we don't. Bottle and plenty of heart.

They are the players that HE brought to the club though, at considerable cost. Every single one of those players who started yesterday were signed by Eddie Howe (Miley the exception as he came through the Academy). His players, his tactics, his training regimes, his pre match team talk. He gets most of the acclaim when things are going well (Banners hanging the lengths of a hotel, huge surfers in the Leazes End, made Freeman of the city etc) so it's only fair that it works both ways. If he's doing well I'll say he's doing well and praise is given. Likewise if he's performing poorly I'll say it as it is. Ultimately I support NUFC first and foremost, not any specific individual.
-
He's been here 4.5 years. Things going stale is understandable. That's why typically Premier League managers are replaced after around 18 months at all but the very top teams as they can afford to chop and change their players more often when things aren't working out. He's repeating the same old nonsense in his press conferences and post match interviews. He doesn't inspire like he used to in that respect and if his demeanor is the same with the players it's little wonder that they appear to be under motivated and his HT team talks seen to have completely the opposite effect that they're supposed to. Even throwing another £250m at him in the summer (not sure if we are even able to or not) won't make a great deal of difference if the above is still the case, and also if he stubbornly sticks to the same tactics and same way of playing.

Maybe it's changed now but earlier in the season resale was a waste of time if you wanted to take your kids or go with mates as it was always only the odd single seat coming up whenever I tried. If more are suddenly appearing now that's through ST holders not fancying it for some reason and hoping that members will buy them up. Over 52k tickets were sold for yesterday so I'm assuming that's what happened.
-
The match was officially sold out though wasn't it. Lots of ballot failures and people being unable to get tickets in the members sale which followed. Those empty seats would mostly be from people who paid for tickets and didn't turn up surely. Not sure if 100s popped up on resale on the day of the game but again if they did they are from ST holders who didn't fancy it. The flip side of the coin from your comment of don't complain that you can't get a ticket if/when things pick up would be don't expect loyal members who you've shit on over the last 3 years with ridiculous ticketing policies and prices to suddenly come racing back now the tourists that you've targeted don't fancy watching rubbish.
-
It's always been the case though hasn't it. When I first started going in the mid 80s crowds could go up or down by a good 15k or so from one game to the next just because of the opposition. At least nowadays it's basically 52k odd every week regardless and there is that huge financial commitment these days if you want to attend which wasn't there 40 years ago.
-
I got offered a ticket for the West Ham game the other day. £55 in the Gallowgate so I'm assuming the East Stand will be upwards of £65 You'd have to be off your rocker to be paying out that sort of coin to sit through 90+ minutes of turgid shite let's be honest here.
-
Mate who was in the Leazes reckons it was grim in there. No atmosphere at all and fans starting to turn on Howe and definitely certain players. Said it once and I'll say it again if you want to charge absolutely top whack for tickets, which is what they now do, with more huge rises in place for next season, the responsibility to get a good football team that's actually worth watching increases massively. You can't charge top dollar and then serve up rubbish week in week out. The lap of honour, or lap of appreciation as they now call it, after the final home game is going to be a bit awkward I think. Can't see many stopping back for it.

Hopefully someone directs him over here then.

I've got a working pair of eyes. Some people said we could turn it around. I knew we couldn't. I don't take any credit for that. It wasn't difficult to see. -
Caught a train to Berwick today. We went to the Milecastle beforehand. Got chatting to a couple of Bournemouth fans on the next table. One of them wasn't aware that they'd already replaced Iraola but they were were both adamant they wouldn't want Howe anywhere near it and both mentioned his last season there which eerily sounded like what we're currently watching. One of them made a great point mind. Iroala couldn't have done what Howe did to get them to the PL but Howe couldn't do what Iraola is doing now. They were gutted to be losing him.
