  1. Our fans behave no worse than fans of any other clubs fans with a similar sized following.
  2. Pretty much this. I've been to 3 games this season and it'll be even less next season. They're just not worth spending the time and money on these days. When Norwich scored their winner today I simply shrugged my shoulders and carried on playing with the bairn. Literally all the passion I ever had for that football club is gone. Nothing there anymore. In fact Ashley losing £150m from our relegation rather amuses me.
  3. This isn't different, it's the same s*** McClaren tried and got sacked with. Stick two up top and play with actual f***ing wingers on the right side. You can talk systems and tactics all day but the bottom line is these players have proven time and time again they lack both the ability and attitude to succeed at this level.
  4. We've scored 7 goals away from home all season. We've lost 8 in a row or something daft like that so I can't blame him for trying something totally different.
  5. He's one of the best managers in the world but when you have a squad full of cowards, many who will already be looking at moves elsewhere in the summer, then I'm not really sure what he's expected to do.
  6. Prepare yourself for the worst and when it inevitably happens, as it does with Newcastle, it doesn't feel quite so bad.
  7. Welcome to the Premier League in 2016. Fans are no longer capable of creating an atmosphere without the need for some pathetic gimmick. 1-0 loss. Relegated.
  8. He's saying he mentioned this to Margaret Byrne when he signed for them but she decided to keep it to herself.
  9. A personal message from Rob 16:59 Rob Elliot View this online | Share this via facebook twitter Newcastle UnitedNewcastle United Football Club "Thank you" A personal message from Rob Elliot Dear wallsendmag I wanted to take the opportunity to write to you all personally and say a massive thank you for all the messages of support I have received since suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury while playing for Ireland last night. The warm wishes I have seen from fans, players and people involved in the game mean the world to me and it’s nice to know that there are so many good people wishing me well at such a dark time. Sustaining the injury happened in a split second. The ball was played across the goal and I moved across to get in line. I dived after the ball as I would do in any training session or any game, but I felt pain straight away. Watching it back, I grabbed my knee before I’d even landed. When I found out it was my cruciate ligament, that’s when the tears came. There was a wave of emotion knowing I’d miss the rest of the season with Newcastle and the Euros with Ireland. But you have to let that come, get past it and then look to be positive. I’ve got a good base of people who’ve been through this before. Former teammates like Ryan Taylor and Dan Gosling and players like Tim Krul, who is going through it now. Tim will be a great support to me and I hope we can help each other. We’re still in a fight as a club but on a personal level, I’m very proud to have played a part this season and to have made a difference. When I was initially thrown in, people were unsure. But you, our fans, supported me and had faith in me. I remember when I walked out for the Norwich game and the whole Gallowgate stood and applauded me. I hadn’t done anything at that point but you were right behind me and it gave me the confidence I needed going into that game. That triggered it. When you have the backing of the whole city, it lifts you and you take that confidence into every game. You feel part of it and I want to thank our fans for that. Karl Darlow will now get that opportunity and I know you will show him the support that you've given me. He’s a great guy, he gets what Newcastle is all about and he works hard every day to get an opportunity like this. He deserves that roar from our fans like I had. I messaged him as soon as I knew about my injury because I wanted him to know and to be ready. I know how good a goalkeeper he is already and how good he is going to be. Norwich will be a big game and a big occasion for all of us on Saturday and we need to show the fight and resolve that we’ve shown recently. I see the quality the boys have every day. We’ve got such ability and so many great people, I just want them to go out and express themselves so that when we walk off the pitch, we don’t regret anything. We’re sold out away from home again. All of those people are going there, like they do every week, to help us to perform and we need to do that. I wish Karl and the boys the best in carrying us forward and getting us out of the relegation fight. Alongside you, I’ll be right behind them. Rob Elliot
  10. NSPCC and the RSPCA are lobbying the Premier League for a points deduction I've heard.

  12. Where's the abuse? He's not ready to lead the line for a relegation-candidate club. The absolute opposite of what we need. We need experience and a proven track record, and Defoe was that player. And we won't get that player now will we? so get behind the lads that we do have especially this one who actually gives a f*** to the fans and the club. Well said. He's one of the few in the whole squad who would literally put his body on the line for the club. The goal last week will give him confidence, he'll score more before this season is over. Considering he's a centre forward and there's 8 games left I should bloody well hope so!
  13. Thought Mitrovic seemed to get a lift when Cisse appeared so I'd play them both up front v Norwich. A draw is no good, we need to win so we probably need to score at least twice.
  14. Got to say if I was him I wouldn't want to come out. He's been outed as a paedophile, someone who likes sex with animals, dogs in particular, a groomer, a nonce and also a retard. I'd just tell them to throw away the key because I couldn't take the shame if I were him. No wonder the mackems love him.
  15. He gets longer because he was in a position of trust. A shool teacher for example would have been handed a similar length sentence.
  16. Now the attention needs to turn to sunderland football club for allowing him to continue to play despite knowing what they knew so bringing the game into disrepute.
  17. Norwich and Fulham (I think) tried to get us points deducted when they got relegated because we fielded a player with incorrect paperwork. Even if we'd had points deducted that season we'd have still finished above the relegation places, so they went kind of quiet after that. I don't blame people for wanting points deducted, desperate times require desperate measures, but I can't see how it can happen. Agree. Just got to hope justice is served and the club who knowingly harboured a paedophile for their own gain is relegated anyway.
  18. Aye if there's any justice the club who knowingly harboured a paedo with fans who cheered his crime would be relegated but chances are they'll finish in 17th place.
  19. Stick Cisse up front with him till the end of the season and see what happens.
  20. Anyone else see those 3 mackems walking down the Bigg Market about 6 o'clock last night? Weren't wearing colours but started singing sunderland songs and got as far as that beer Keller place before they got a good kicking. Not really one for football violence but it was hard to have much sympathy for them. Probably seemed a good idea at the time but they'll be very sore this morning!
  21. Thought he was very poor yesterday. Confidence looks shot to bits and he allowed the sunderland players to bully him. I'd take him out the firing line now and go with Cisse and Mitrovic up top until the end of the season because what we need more than anything now is goals and that represents our best chance of getting any.
  22. On yesterday's evidence I'd say the beasts look better equipped for a relegation scrap than we do and they are awful as well make no mistake. Norwich were the real winners though and worryingly they now know they can effectively relegate us in their next home game as well.
  23. Great manager working with an absolute shower of sh!t unfortunately.
