  1. Cabaye had no reason to miss the penalty. He couldn't care lass if we stay up or go down. In fact the stick he got just before the penalty probably made him more determined to score it. He just made a complete hash of it and Darlow went the right way and it was an easy save. Thought Darlow was very composed yesterday and growing in confidence with every game.
  2. Wouldn't argue against that considering they're both above us with games in hand. Looking at the remaining fixtures I can see Norwich finishing on 35 points and mackems on 38 so we'd need maximum points from our games to stand a chance.
  3. There was more atmosphere at Wimbledon games at Selhurst Park then there was when Crystal Palace were at home due to the bigger away allocation given. Now a couple of dozen spotty virgins jump up and down for 90 minutes acting like bellends and they call that an atmosphere. We'll show them a proper atmosphere later, not the manufactured rubbish they call one.
  4. Really hope we smash these tomorrow. Seems like that club and Pardew are made for each other and the sooner he ruins that non entity of a football club the better.
  5. Yep. One thing that was so depressing under Pardew was the apathy and acceptance. Remember when that Sheffield United goal went in when we had Roeder? Being in St James's was the most uncomfortable thing in the world, the atmosphere was vile. There were many similar occasions under Souness. Yet we'd get tanked at home to Sunderland and Liverpool under Pardew and there was barely a response. Apart from riots in the city centre, a police horse being attacked and over 100 arrested you are correct, there was barely a response.
  6. If ever there was a manager paired with a football club that deserves relegation and nowt but bad luck it's Allardyce and sunderland. Just a shame football hardly ever works out like that
  7. Souness did more damage than Pardew from a far better starting position and with far more resources.
  8. Was excellent when they had the singing section up there but it's pretty flat now. I was in L7 for the derby and thought the atmosphere was pretty poor up there from both sets of fans. Gallowgate is far better imo.
  9. Hope most people just ignore him and concentrate on getting behind the team on Saturday. Ignoring someone with an ego the size of his would p!ss him off far more than chanting about him.
  10. Over 51,000 sold by yesterday. Palace took 2,000 tickets but haven't sold them yet.
  11. I'll need to call in and see that to believe it. That's for John Smiths. Lager is 10p a pint more expensive I think.
  12. They've put a new carpet down in the Beehive which is nice. £1.55 a pint as well.
  13. Just seen it was on this day 3 years ago Pardew took charge of our biggest home defeat in 87 years when we lost 6-0 to Liverpool. In his post match comments he said "we turned ragged, which isn't like one of my teams and which we can't accept". A ludicrous statement considering the amount of hammerings we took on his watch.
  14. We're 2nd bottom and odds on for relegation. To be fair to them if they're not confident of beating us who exactly could they be confident of beating? Tbf our home form is mid-table worthy, we're in a total mess due to our away form. We're 11th on the home table, 2nd bottom of the away form table. Playing devil's advocate Crystal Palace have only lost 6 times away from home all season, less than Man Utd. It's their home form that's let them down and they've picked up more points on their travels then they have at Selhurst Park. Just seen that Mike Dean us the ref which is a worry. Apparently Palace have an excellent record when he's refereed them and I thought he was shocking when he last refereed here in the draw with Man Utd.
  15. We're 2nd bottom and odds on for relegation. To be fair to them if they're not confident of beating us who exactly could they be confident of beating? They shouldn't be confident of beating anybody, they're f***ing horrible. Only reason they're safe is their good start, since the turn of the year they've been the worst side in the league. Agree. Just think some people are getting a little over confident. I got slaughtered on here because I disagreed with everyone who said we would batter sunderland a few weeks ago because we had Rafa in and they were on an awful run as well. We nearly lost that one. Palace are a poor side and we should beat them if we play like we did in the 2nd half at Anfield. I watched their game against Watford and thought they were 2 rotten teams. Pretty disgusting that our record against both this season is played 4 lost 4 scored 3 conceded 10. Pardew will have them fired right up for this without a doubt.

  17. They've lost their last 3, scoring once and conceding 12 in the process. They look well and truely a team finished for the season. I'd be amazed if sunderland don't beat them. To be fair, their last three were Man City, Liverpool and Tottenham. The mackems are nowhere near the quality of those three, they'll struggle at Stoke and Stoke will see the mackems at home as the perfect game to bounce back. We've played Man City and Liverpool in our last 2 and came away unbeaten. Spurs only managed a draw at home to West Brom. Stoke are already on the beach imo.

  19. If the team with the better manager won all the time there would be no point in football. The last time Pardew met Benitez at SJP Pardew came out on top and Benitez had by far the better team.
  20. I honestly couldn't care less if we went down this season as long as we could guarantee Benitez staying on. The fact that he's somehow got this heartless rabble resembling a competent footballing outfit speaks volumes.
  21. Can we have the points for once when we need them? You screwed us up 20 years ago and we don't want a repeat of that this time. We are not that lucky. For once we have appointed a manager everyone can get behind and you can feel the momentum building but have probably left it too late. He needed to be in around January if not December. I just hope our luck changes and we get a win here with Makems losing tomorrow Even if we'd peddled McClaren after the Chelsea debacle and brought in Benitez in time for the trip to La Manga I'm certain we would have taken points from the Stoke and/or Bournemouth games that immediately followed it. Not only that but we would have been far better prepared for the double header against the Mackems and Norwich. Even if we'd managed 6 points from those 4 very winnable games instead of the 1 we got things would be looking pretty good now and we'd probably be looking at needing only 1 more win to stay up.
  22. They've been here and done this many times before. In fact it's in their own hands this time which hasn't been the case for the past few seasons. It's us and Norwich joining Villa and we've just got to hope Rafa fancies dirtying his hands in the Championship for a season as I've got no doubt he'll bring us straight back up.
