  1. Wonder if the new Level 7 rule has had an affect too. See my post on the bottom of the previous page.
  2. I had a season ticket in Leazes Corner for last season but couldn't renew it this year for financial reasons (was buying a new house). I was planning on getting to games this season on a match by match basis and was just going to get tickets next to my mates in Leazes Corner. Then they decide that you can't buy a ticket up there unless you become a member so I haven't been back this season and doubt that I will.

    Mcboro

Although the official attendance was given as 15,033 the smoggies who were there are saying the true figure was around 10,000 on FMTTM. However as they have 13,000 s/t holders they counted all them despite the fact that a fair percentage of them didn't bother going tonight.

  5. My mate went and bought tickets for us yesterday and he was told that level7 is going to be 'turnstiles only' on Saturday. He didn't elaborate but I guess that means it's empty and people will be able to go and pay at cash turnstiles to sit up there? Milburn Stand Level 7 is sold out. It is mainly st holders up there so there aren't many tickets available for general sale match by match. However Leazes Corner still has around 2,000 of its 3,500 seats for sale due to the ridiculous decision of the clubs to make it st holders/members only so maybe they will have cash turnstiles in operation for there.

    3 to go down

Can't really see past Blackpool, West Brom and Wigan tbh.
  7. Increasing ST prices would be financial suicide for the club considering many on the 3 year ticket scheme may not renew (I know of several) so they'll need to offer some incentives to keep as many of them as possible as well as trying to attract new season ticket holders because currently the club has roughly 14,000 unsold season tickets. A price freeze and the facility to pay in interest free installments like many clubs are doing now would make sure I personally would commit for another year (wouldn't do another 3 year one though).
  8. Quick heads up here lads and lasses. The Stoke City game status says members only but i've just been on and bought 2 tickets online for Leazes Corner despite not being a member. The transaction has gone through and i've had a confirmation e-mail confirming £40 has been debited from my account. Get in quick!
  9. Looked the emptiest i've seen it since it became the singing section from my seat in the Gallowgate today. Shame really.
  10. I'll go for an optimistic 1-1 draw and an optimistic 47,500 as the attendance.

    Crowd v PSV?

I think the crowd was around 13,000 when we played them in pre season 2 years ago and i'd expect a similar number this time. Strangely enough, as low as the crowd was last time we played them the atmosphere was really good, especially in the Strawberry Corner.
  12. Think it will be 6-0 at half time but we'll take it easy on them in the 2nd half and Lindisfarne will play a set before kick off in the Leazes End. Mike Ashley will give a rendition of "We are the Champions" into Mick Lowes microphone after the match as well. Hope Ipswich bring a good following since they asked for 2,800 tickets because it will be annoying if there's loads of empty spaces in the away end when 1000's of home fans haven't been able to get a ticket.
  13. Looks like they've started coming back already. Only single seats remaining for the Ipswich game according to .com when I was on before.
  14. Aye 48,750. That will probably be similar to next seasons average I would have thought.
  15. Don't really care to be honest. The going got tough and they bailed out and they haven't been missed. They have shown themselves to be Premier League fans as opposed to Newcastle fans. The 43,000 average who have stuck by the club this season are the important ones and i'm sure will all be back next season.
  16. I haven't read any of this thread except for the last page so no doubt he has already been mentioned but Morten Gamst Pederson is available on a free as his contract has expired and Blackburn can't afford his £25,000 a week wage demands. I think he'd be a good addition to the squad as a free transfer when our budget is only going to be £15-20 million.
  17. I sit, well stand, in Leazes Corner and thought they were the noisiest set of fans to visit SJP this season. Suprised to see so many empty seats in Leazes Corner yesterday but the fact that a lot of people up there aren't S/T holders and they stuck an extra fiver on the price of a ticket for there but kept prices for other parts of the ground the same for the Sheff Utd, Blackpool & Ipswich games probably explains that.
  18. I've developed a real hatred for Aston Villa since the way they celebrated our relegation last season as if they had won the Champions League. A more fickle set of fans you won't find and I took great delight in watching them lose yesterday as did most people in the pub I was in judging by the cheers when Chelsea scored.
  19. Just tried and got on no problem mate. Only single seats available now in all but the Platinum Club/Bar 1892 areas and a tiny section of Leazes Corner nearest the Milburn Stand.
  20. By the beginning of last week Sheff Utd had only sold 450 tickets which will bring the crowd down a bit. http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=463&fid=221&sty=2&act=1&mid=2122289822&page=1
  21. Notts Forest are a footballing irrelevance these days. They will fail in the Play Offs and will yoyo between the Championship and League 1 for the next few seasons. Derby County have always been by far the biggest club in the East Midlands which probably explains why a lot of Notts Forest fans have a chip on their shoulders. Fair play to Billy Davies for his post match comments last night mind.
  22. Llambias said a couple of weeks ago that we currently have 28,000 season ticket holders.
  23. Last time we won promotion we sold David Kelly and brought in Peter Beardsley. We won't be bringing in players of the calibre of Beardsley next season I think it's fair to say so I would keep Lovenkrands. Plus he scored a few for us in the Prem at the back end of last season.
  24. The Gallowgate has been very quiet this season. Like has been said if you want to go in there make sure you get your seat in the South East corner part of it as there is some atmosphere in there.
  25. If true then the Boro lad got his just deserts. Cowardly to throw sharpened coins. 100% true mate. Looking back on it today it would have been funny to get the full incident recorded on my phone but I suppose videoing events in mens toilets in Middlesbrough of all places just isn't right. Was a scary couple of seconds though when I thought the Newcastle fan was going to turn on me mind as he was a fair size and I wouldn't have liked to have kopped a right hander off him similar to what the Boro fan got. Spent the next 10 minutes looking out for a Boro fan covered in blood and piss returning to his seat as he couldn't have been sat too far away from us but didn't see him again so he might have just gone home.
