  1. Was a bit more than that iirc. 31,000 odd rings a bell as I'm sure a FOI request about it was put to Northumbria Police. Was definitely over 30k.
  2. At least there's a few of them now coming forward and admitting that they couldn't care less about Saudi. It's the fact that NUFC are absolutely minted and are on the way to the very top that rankles with them.
  3. https://twitter.com/Leerumney/status/1681979240240259073?t=4Cgsd4GUWkpUvXrImOlt0A&s=19 Seeing more and more stuff like this from mackems on social media this past week.
  4. We went to Hamilton before the match as the buses we were on were heading to a club that was opening up especially for them. We didn't bother with the club and went off on our own for a little pub crawl and struggled to buy a drink. Literally every pub we went in there was Rangers fans wanting to pay for our beer for us! Never been made to feel so welcome as an away fan in my life and by all accounts it was a similar story everywhere. Everyone made to feel so welcome.
  5. Never ever heard it talked about in the pub, never mind every weekend. And let's be honest here. It's hardly a real issue is it? It's some writing on a stand. A stand that's been earmarked for heavy modification anyway in the future.
  6. I don't think it's a big deal to the wider fanbase outside of this forum. As I say I've never even heard it mentioned before.
  7. Got to be honest here I've never ever heard it even mentioned by a single NUFC fan outside of this forum.
  8. The Gateshead v NUFC pre season friendly thread on RTG soars past the 100 replies mark
  9. This just shows what we've all known for a while. Some of this deadwood we have is going to be impossible to shift. Said it the season before last but Jamaal Lewis must be one of the worst players I've seen playing for us in 40 years.
  10. The £50 meat draw before the match has me cracked up like That place really is stuck in the 1980s. Not just that but who could be arsed to go off to the match carrying £50 worth of meat with them? It'll all be cheap shite as well so I bet there's loads of it.
  11. Holds 11k but safety certificate only allows 7,200 in.
  12. Some of them saying he has nowt to do with Sunderland as he doesn't play for them anymore, totally forgetting that they claimed him as their own when Liverpool won the Champions League
  13. He was on our train coming back from Chelsea last game of the season.
  14. I don't think it'll fully hit home till I see us actually in that draw on August 30th.
  15. I'm sure there was more than 0.1% of them singing it mind.
  16. No man has the right to a head of hair like that.
  17. Speaking to quite a few mates this afternoon/evening most seem to be giving this one a swerve due to the ticket prices. With CL money being taken next week it appears to be a stretch for a lot. Will be interesting to see what the turnout but I think they might have been a bit ambitious with their pricing.
  18. Their latest attempt at a comfort blanket is that fans of every other club hate the mags and love them. I can only assume this is the reason that they've complained all season about opposition fans constantly throwing missiles down on them at home games whilst we only have to put up with the odd isolated incident, despite away fans at both grounds being located above home fans, and that we've been invited along to a huge Testimonial game in a couple of weeks time which is already a 50,000 sell out before we head over to The States whilst they've been invited nowhere. It's awful being hated mind.
  19. Think it would though. If he goes in for a crunching tackle or scores a goal and the crowd are up shouting "Tonali, Tonali, Tonali!" he'll know it's for him. Like I say I can't remember the last time I heard our fans sing "Toon Army". The Bruno and Joelinton songs, as good as they are, are just copied from other clubs. The Bruno one was being sung by Chelsea about Thomas Tuchel years ago and the Joelinton one was first crowned by Everton for Richarlison I believe. We have lost our originality somewhat which is a shame.
  20. The "Toon Army" chant hasn't been sung in years. Tbf it's simple and effective, easy to sing at the same time, which is what geneates the noise, and something that everyone will join in with, instead of just the SE Corner. Sometimes less is more when it comes to football chants. People expecting all 4 sides of SJP to serenade him with a Whitney Houston song are living in Cloud cuckoo land!
  21. Got a feeling his song with just be the simple "Tonali, Tonali, Tonali" as a throwback to the 1990s "Toon Army, Toon Army, Toon Army" chant.
  22. Noticed it's not uniformed. Each top appears to have a different pattern to it.
  23. I love it! Think Castore are designing some brilliant kits for us right now. Just a pity the quality is questionable and availability is hit and miss. I don't normally buy kits but I'll get this one.
  24. I'm wanting PSV, assuming they win the Qualifying game they need to play. Will sit in the home end for both legs.
