In the position he's standing in he's very much interfering with play.
-
We're miles away from being a Man City mate. And not just in the goalkeeping area. It's all over the pitch. Playing Ramsdale tonight doesn't get us any nearer to them.
-
He was clearly interfering with play though. Offside was the correct call.
-
It's been the rule since 1925 tbf. He was offside.
-
That time when he picked the ball up on the Milburn Stand touchline then kept falling over Just give him away to someone.
-
He's clearly nearer to our goal line than Pope is. Not sure why they were focusing on Thiaw so much when he needed to be further away from our goal line than both of them to be in an onside position.
-
Pope is far better than Ramsdale. There's a reason Howe had to bring him back in. Ramsdale can't do the 2 basics. Command his area and stop shots.
-
Outstanding tonight. Our MOTM by a mile.
-
The main argument in his favour is how poor Ramsdale is. We need a 1st choice keeper in the summer.
-
That shank into the Milburn Stand led to their 2nd goal like.

Watching on ITV. Turned the volume up from my standard 25 to 30. Still sounds (and looks) shit.

They could have presumed I wasn't Mr Qi Xiao I supoose which was the name on the ticket I used to access the Liverpool match.

Coinciding with their home form dropping off a cliff I may add.

Mickey Mouse cup anyway. -
Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed

I'm old fashioned I admit but first and foremost I just want a keeper who can stop shots and command his area. Tbh I don't think Ramsdale has been anything special with his feet anyway and the fact that his starting position tends to be 10 yards deeper than Pope's sort of negates him being better with his feet. Pope would be an excellent number 2 and the £15m/£20m it would cost to bring in Ramsdale would be better spent elsewhere imo. -

I'd rather send him back and keep Pope as a number 2. -

If we don't take up the option of signing him in the summer, I'm also pretty sure none of the other top 6/7 clubs will be in for him either. He's just not at that level. I'm hoping we can find ourselves a gem from abroad like what the mackems have done. I've got mates over in Holland who didn't even know much about the Keeper they signed! -

Will no doubt get drawn against another PL club again. Cup draws always seem underwhelming these days. Used to love them as well. -
Much better. Reckon since the ballots started up I've got better than a 1 in 2 success rate for Level 7. For anywhere else it's probably 1 in 5 or 1 in 6.

Botman culpable no doubting that but a good goalkeeper anticipates the danger and is put his goal a lot quicker to take control of the situation. Also think opposition strikers seem to be able to slide the ball past him far to easily. Needs to be spreading himself much better. Schmeichel was the best ever at that and tbf to Pope he isn't bad at doing it either. Ramsdale seems to manage to make himself smaller.and he hasn't got much presence in the first place. -

I wouldn't say he was at fault but a good keeper spreads himself well and blocks it. He seems to shrink in those situations. He's conceded a few similar type goals. -
Start them young man. Best way. I took the bairn to his first ever match when he was 3. Lost 2-1 to Huddersfield in our first game after relegation to the Championship. Never took his eyes off it from start to finish. When we were walking out at FT he said, quite loudly, "they'll go down again at this rate!" which drew quite a few chuckles from those around us. We were in the East Stand like.

Looks like it's inside out.
