  1. They've been in charge almost 2 years now. How long does it take to set up a fully functioning and reliable ticket office thats fit for purpose? 5 years?, 10 maybe?
  2. Wish their shitty ticketing policy would allow me into the ground at all!
  3. Isn't CLS closer to Newcastle than Sunderland though? Certainly easier to get to Newcastle from there.
  4. Surely for high risk games you'd need a previous purchase history before being eligible to buy a ticket you'd think but god knows how they'd work it.
  5. None at all. Our midfield won't come up against another rmidfield as good as that (ability or tactically wise) all season. No shame coming 2nd best to that.
  6. They used to revel in the fact that Ashley's neglect and Elllis Shorts ridiculous overspending had them more or less on a par with us regarding league positions and with them getting the upper hand on the pitch (partly due to keep changing managers just before they were during to play us ). That's all a distant memory now. Rightful order has been resumed but only this time the gap is bigger than ever and inevitably will continue to grow further with each passing season. This is too much for many of them to handle and what we are seeing now is the result of that.
  7. Hopefully there's CCTV about and the sad cunts who vandalised it get a knock on the door. Aside from this I can't believe how much our takeover has absolutely broken them. They've always hated us more than we've hated them but they are totally consumed by it now. It's what defines them, and it's at the point where their own club is becoming more of a sideshow for them to the main event up the road. Only going to get worse as well the more we improve amd the longer they fester in the lower leagues.
  8. We are members at Chelsea (my son supports them and membership is the only way to get tickets). You are right that less glamorous games are worth more loyalty points than the big ones. Think he got 5 points for Plymouth at home in the FA Cup and 2 points v Dortmund in the Champions League. The interesting thing is that members are also rewarded for their loyalty and also have access to away tickets. They'll have a season ticket holders sale and then a members sale afterwards. Sometimes you'll need loyalty points to purchase, other times you won't. It does make tickets accessible to a broader section of their fanbase and gives far more value to their membership which incidently costs £35 compared to £37 at Newcastle. Usually the ticket sales commence at 10am (same system as NUFC last season) but for high demand games they'll use the loyalty points system sp for example they'll go on sale to members with 30 loyalty points at 10am, then 20 points at 2pm, 0 points at 5pm. I still prefer that way.
  9. Yeah I think it was them who argued for a change in ticket distribution. Certainly thats the general consensus. It's gone down like a lead balloon tbh but I'm sure it suits some of them which is what they'll view as important.
  10. Sort of thing NUST should be all over, but aren't. Maybe the new system works better for the people on their board, but they don't seem all that interested.
  11. Foden was absolutely superb last night. He's a better player than Bruno tbf and there'll be many more central midfielders this season who will come up well short against him so it's certainly no disgrace to be coming off 2nd best. We are still a fair way behind Man City but I'm confident that slowly but surely we will catch up.
  12. We went to watch Gateshead yesterday. Got to say Williamson has them playing some brilliant football. Really enjoyed watching them amd will be very surprised if they aren't in the Promotion mix at the end of the season. Was glad I enjoyed it because with NUFC tickets becoming nigh on impossible to get hold of noe that's where I'll have to watch most of my football.
  13. Felt like that throughout the 2nd half tbh. At least the myth of play acting being exclusively to the men's game has been blown apart. As I say Spain deserved their win but some of the play acting was pathetic.
  14. Dreadful game of football. Far too many breaks in play and it just never flowed at all. Congratulations to Spain. They were the better side.
  15. I'd disagree with that. Thought he was poor and easily dominated by Man City's midfield but it's about opinions.
  16. Which explains his high pass accuracy. As I said sometimes these stats can be a bit misleading.
  17. Stats don't tell the full story though and this is a prime example. Thought Tonali looked better tonight but in all honesty they just overran our midfield. We have a long way to go to get anywhere near their level.
  18. He was definitely the best of the 3 tonight. Joelinton never got started and Bruno looked pretty sluggish and was being overrun. He wasn't great tonight but definitely the pick of the midfield 3.
  19. Our best player tonight.
  20. Young Anderson came on and looked far more effective I thought.
  21. Not sure what's but he's been pretty average since the League Cup final tbh.
  22. Must admit I was very impressed with the way they played against us in Pre Season. Mike Williamson has done a tremendous job there.
  23. 20k would be decent. Prices are brilliant. Nearly all the kids and parents from the bairns football team appear to be going judging ny the messages on the WhatsApp group.
  24. Brilliant. 8 quid for me and the bairn to watch a game of International Football! I'll definitely be going.
  25. Think I'll go along. Should be a couple of decent games and it's a struggle for mere members such as myself to get inside SJP these days for NUFC games. Edited. It'll depend on the ticket prices of course.
