Any reason why I can’t reply on the magpie group thread? Without referring to the words used in it there’s an irony of someone criticising using certain words to tar a while group of fans then slating another group of fans protesting to make themselves feel special.

I’ll back whatever goes ahead, but I’m aome respect it shows you are adaptable and are listening. Even though I believe TMG are 100% right I don’t believe it’s pandering. They would have to suggest more plans though quick if so. I think after shirebrook they have to persist. If it goes ahead they’ll have to talk pragmatically and say it was an experiment in unity. They can’t allow it to seem a futile exercise.

If you can’t rely on home fans try the away and take the message nationally and aimed solely at SD - the worst they’ll get then are the usual too cool for school web sadacts sneering at them and an apathetic home support leaving them to get on with it.

It had to go ahead today, I do think the boycott should be postponed but you have to spin it as listening to fans and it was an experiment in unity. Personally I think they’d be better off having a rethink and taking it nationally - utilising the sympathetic away support to protest a shop in every city they visit - throw their weight behind the London based action. Newcastle is too myopic in its thinking atm.

I think it’s a question of communication methods and need for the right skill sets. I for one am behind everything but the well meaning normal people line will only hold so much if you don’t seek to adapt. Admittedly, confidence has taken a knock and questions have needed time to answer.

It's noble for sure but it's ancient history. All routes of getting the message out have yet to be explored imo. Admittedly it's time and organisation etc.

There'd be a lot more support in my opinion if they actually had a media or communication strategy. They just seem like well meaning lads winging it.

I think we are too well organised at the back to go down, we have a really decent collection of centre backs. It will be the teams who struggle at both ends that get relegated. If we had a genuine touch of class up front we'd be top 8 material. Agree.

I think in large part its to do with being a spokesperson for officials (even if it doesn't work out that way) Ritchie is too radge for that.

The nightmare scenario is this doesn’t happen and it’s a case of back the new guy, give him a chance, won’t judge him yet. Support the team/regime cycle continues.
