  1. Think it was the right decision announced for slightly the wrong reasons - I’d have played it as listening to fans and acknowledging the timing of one after the other. I back whatever they do tbh - they are at least trying.
  2. He didn’t want to answer certain questions so he spouts that he isn’t aware of it. Of course they are. What if he’d said what he really thought? What good would that have done the club in general? Sure it would have gotten the fans on side but then it would have driven a bigger wedge between the coaching staff, players and the owner. Like it or lump it, Ashley will still be around in January and he needs to be involved if we’re to do any business in the window. We’re not far off a squad that can survive the season. Two or three players in key positions should do it. See noone expects the guy to do this either - assuming he does disagree with it all, or Rafa. This is the weird false dichotomy that surfacres. Doesn’t matter who you are. You say to your paying/committed ‘stop the negativity’ without being prepared to debate that view and you’re set for a fall. It was a pity he let/found himself get thrust in that situation.
  3. The nice guy stuff is nuanced too by the way. Am I able to believe known wanker mike Ashley is capabkecof being superficially nice? Of course.
  4. Nonsense man. It is nuance because I’m a complex human being applying critical thought to a complex situation. As the manager Rafa is better at navigating the politics of it all than a 20 odd year old. It’s very little to do with preference as their jobs are different. But if one of them wants to use the label negative and expect no reaction they are being naive. You can can forgive him for it as I have. Find a point where Rafa has used that label and I’ll agree with you but he hasn’t - in fact he’s made great pains to avoid it.
  5. Rafa is more adept at the nuance. Lascelles labelled fan action as negativity which is why he got pelters. Rightly.
  6. It’s weird how seeing something through because you said it is a big enough stick to attack fans against mike Ashley but not to go great guns for the man himself. Going through with the 11th minute was ballsy enough.
  7. So when did he actually come out at anytime before saying the club was possibly been sold I’ve heard that it was due to the transfer window and now changing that it’s due to a proposed non entity of a boycott. The reason he came out is to try and start a bidding war nothing more. I don’t understand the 1st part of that and talking about now, you’re probably right. Fact is, there isn’t the support for it amongst the home crowd - and in cases outright hostility to it. Lack of support for them though and saying he wouldn’t care about any are two different things.
  8. How can you ignore that correlation? Even if it isn’t causation. The fact he went on TV alone directly afterward shows he cared in itself. The burden is on the detractors to show it didn’t tbh. Or was this when he famously just changed his spots apropos to nothing?
  9. He does not give one fuck unfortunately about any boycott Apart from the last one.
  10. FWIW I'm part of London MG which is probably clear and they (TMG) frustrate the hell out of me.Their FB page hasnt been updated since the 2nd November for instance - but that ultimately is just organisation and offering/seeking help.
  11. It's going to live and die on how they react to the various 'successes/failures'
  12. Not sure if serious? Well it certainly wasn’t the silent majority, was it? No, obviously not. But it most definitely wasn't a half-baked walk-in attempt either, with about 200 participants. Just to clarify, I'm all for protest action and have been involved in a few things with TMG, but genuinely don't understand the point of the walk-in or boycott protests. Everyone's already paid. Plus they create division in the fanbase, because people rightly or wrongly still want to go and support the team. Ashley literally won't give a fuck if they show up or not as long as the money is already paid. Protests that get at his other business interests... I'm all for those. It's all experiment. Doesn't mean you shouldn't try it. He had the money and PL status secured for Boycott Spurs and he shat it then. Doesn't seem like it will work at this point in time but if it means conversation goes beyond 'yeah he's a cunt/it's shit' and into 'right that didnt quite land/lets try this' and we're at least futhereing something other than apathy.
  13. Stick to actions that will force him out his hole and into the PR no mans land he eventually operates. The man undoes himself given the opportunity. To quote Malcolm Tucker 'Who did your media training? Moira Hyndely?'
  14. Funniest thing was a busker dressed as Darth Vader had the Imperial March playing on loop on the street corner - during which fatboy tramps up with his trophy wife perfectly in time.
  15. The two people sat behind him in the select committee footage were protesters. Cheers. It's all pretty hilarious tbh. Good fun. Meeting lots of new mag friends.
  16. Watch the select committee video and tell me it’s not about in part deflecting the car crash that was. Or an effort to temper the recent action - however low the uptake.
  17. I was there mate along with a copper, a plasterer, a PR consultant and a sailor - to cite a handful. He was shitting himself. There were fans inside the select committee with him and pressuring as he went through security. We were feet away from him. First time anyone has given him s*** organised and in person in 11 years and long overdue. The sky sports stuff may have been planned already of course. Really hope you all pulled out the YMCA. Just put me arseless chaps in the wash

  19. This is off the back of protests that happened today btw. He’s fucking rattled.
  20. Aye. I wasn’t there but by all accounts it’s gardly just a few bad apples.
