Siems like a good signing
-
He's a good lad in fairness, just think he's swallowed a load of media bullshit.

Just been talking to a Pardew fan, his main points were denies players have regressed, and isn't his job to improve players anyway Who cares about attractive football, when he gets results ben Arfa doesn't defend and doesn't beat his man, and too often goes for the simple pass, should have got rid two years ago His embarrasing media antics are irrelivent managers need stability

Oh Aye

In a thread where we are discussing a potential new signing, i think the "Pardewed" comments are relevant. It's part of the debate as th whether or not hte player will be a good signing. Can be tedious, in threads or discussions where Pardew or even NUFC, are not even part of the discussion.

"The guy was a turncoat. From county Durham supported Newcastle says it all really, typical plastic mag, with no ties to them whatsoever, disgrace." "I'm totally indifferent to him in all honesty, I think SNQ had a lot to do with him being accepted by SAFC as being ok and he enjoyed a lot of hospitality at the SOL in his final years, and said he enjoyed it a lot more than his outings to The 03, according to a mate who new him very well. I doubt his wife thought he was much of a 'Gentleman' when he was knobbing his secretary for donkeys years though.... " "Back in 1982, Geordie fans hurled abuse and spat at Robson for having the temerity to drop their hero Kevin Keegan from his first squad after being appointed England manager. It was a rude introduction to the job, but set the tone for his eight years in charge." "His father supported Newcastle as did Bobby. My grandad worked with his father, Philip, for years. Its a myth that all County Durham miners were Sunderland supporters. Well his dads a turncoat then, something not right there IMO. From C Durham and support the mags."

I'm baffled about them always talking about it and it always being in the media. Also what's up with the "Justice for the 96" instead of "R.I.P to the 96"?, particularly around the anniversary. It's because the people of Liverpool have been campaigning for justice, in light of the injustice carried out by South Yorkshire police that day. It's in the media a lot, because 96 fans of the most successful club in English football, from one of the main cultural heartlands of the country died in a terrible crush. A crush which could have happened to any club at any time, and many fans around the time can tell story's of near misses. It has defined and shaped the culture of a major city and perhaps the rest of the country. An entire city no longer buys the largest selling newspaper. It's a campaign that has been backed by celebrities. On top of the large scale of death a light has been shown on to terrible police standards, corruption and collusion between the police, media and possibly even the government of the time. There is a time and place for the justice part, at a time when you should be remembering them at an anniversary shouldn't it be time to reflect on the fact that 96 people lost their lives and not the circumstances around it? How often do you see families of the Valley parade disaster asking for justice? There was just as many mistakes and different authorities to blame there for the people who died then as there is for Hillsbrough. I think the anniversary is probably the best time to campaign for justice,it's the time when the cause is most likely to gain significant media coverage. As to the second part of your post, i must admit i'm not aware of the injustices of what you speak of ? perhaps you could inform me. But even still, just because the families of the valley parade disaster don't campaign for justice, doesn't mean the Hillsbrough families shouldn't.

The entire Premiership, Football League, Conference and their fans have just observed a minute silence after a 6 minute delay to kick off. I don't think it's necessarily the same as the solidarity shown by the clubs mentioned. A minutes silence is, to respect the dead, which is great and no level headed person wouldn't be against that, but doesn't really get behind the campaign in the same way as some of the clubs mentioned have.

"Notable supporters of Feyenoord include Craig Bellamy "

Zeman has helped bring through some decent players too has he not ? I know he coached Veratti at Pescara, and i've read he has been credited with Lamela and Marquinhos, though i'm not so sure how much he has aided their development. I think if we are going to have any sort of success, someone who can coach and develop players, will be a key quality. It's one of the factors that turn me on to the likes of Bielsa and Zeman, however realistic or unrealistic those candidates may be.
-
We could attract Zeman could we not ?
-
Poor Shola, he even gets an extra exclamation mark.
-
Did he really use " not middle class enough " as an excuse ?

Would love any of bielsa, Pochetino, Zeman, terim, laudrup or Rijikaard. Someone who will get us playing attacking football and can improve players by the use of tactical nouse and coaching. It would also be nice if another manager came in and added a little depth to our scouting pool.
