  1. That is an amazing team and quite frankly , when you produce so many world class players you deserve to be the best team in the world.
  2. Been nervous for a few days, i don't want to put a negative spin on this but i have a bad feeling. They will definatly be up for this, hopefully too much but i am not sure Bruce will let his team go out on the pitch with anything other than the perfect mentality.

    Nat Lofthouse

I heard of him, but don't realy know a great deal about him. RIP.
  4. I echo the sentiments of those wanting an Nigeria shirt with Ameobi on the back.
  5. http://www.u.tv/News/Bullet-death-threats-mailed-to-Celtic/deda36b7-32a8-48d5-a57c-6970d66d0dbc Packages containing bullets have been sent from Northern Ireland to Celtic football manager Neil Lennon, and hoops winger and NI international star Niall McGinn. It's understood the post was intercepted by Royal Mail staff at their sorting office in Mallusk, Co Antrim, earlier this week. The envelopes, which had Lennon and McGinn's names stencilled onto them, were taken away for examination after local postal workers alerted police. It's understood the mail was addressed to the official home of Celtic football club in Glasgow. Lurgan-born Lennon has received other threats in the past, quitting his playing career for Northern Ireland in 2002 after a warning from sectarian gangs. Celtic midfielder McGinn, from Tyrone, has not previously been targeted. Police are investigating the incident and have asked anyone with information to come forward.
  6. I have seen him twice and he was realy good. I would prefer it if Sunderland didn't sign him to be honest. He could be a real danger for us if he was to play in the derby.
  7. Hope he continues his form for the rest of the season.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

:indi: Class signing, not just because he is a good player but because i think he will improve other players in my opinion. He has the inteligence and movement to help Tiote when it seems no one is making themselves available and Carroll will be forced to up his game imo with some of the balls HBA will be playing for him.
  9. It's crackers. It's like something the candidate first out on The Apprentice would do. It's either stupidity or smokescreens. I know, isn't it true that they aren't even that rich ? as football owners go i mean. Watching the interview they look out of their depth. Why is it that people who know nothing about football decide to come in to the game ? I cant help but think that blackburn are going to end up in a right mess when this lot is finished with them, MA will look good compared to them. I think you are right. No football club deserves owners like them.

Why is it that people who know nothing about football decide to come in to the game ? I think it gets to a stage where cars and houses just aren't enough for the super rich and football clubs are the next jewel to have. Must say if i had big sums of money i'd own a football club, depending on how much, anywhere between Whitley Bay FC & NUFC would be my purchase, but i'd surround myself with people who know, I wouldn't play with peoples hearts for the sake of a cheap thrill. Aye, i always said if i had enough i would love to buy a football club in particular NUFC. I can't understand people who buy football clubs and don't realy like or know that much about the sport. They are only going to end up the villain.

  12. i don't believe the Blackburn owners and if they are serious they are stupid why would you tell a club that you will go higher when bidding for their player.
  13. Maybe not, but iirc Sky were rather fond of him. This is true.
  14. I agree, he doesn't seem to ba a mong. I personally would like him to comment more often it's always good to get the views of other fans with different points of view.
  15. This. Perhaps Wearside could inform us to the average Sunderland fans opinion on those comments br Bruce, if that had been the other way around i don't think there would have been many Newcastle fans happy with those comments. It's called local pride,I can only guess you are not from the North East. Trust me I work in South Tyneside with loads of mags and believe you me they are desperate to finish above Sunderland and show me a Newcastle fan who doesn't want to finish above Sunderland and I will show you a liar. It's pride, banter, bragging rights etc etc. I understand that and would agree that we would also like to finish above you. I just thought that considering Bruce is the longest serving manager and the manager with the most resources his aim should be to finish high as possible which should include finishing above us considering we are in our first season back in the league. I guess it seemed to me that statement lacked ambition when he should be aiming much higher. It was silly and petty of him to say that his ambition is to finish higher than us It made Sunderland sound like a smaller club than it is for the manager to concentrate so much on us. He should be more interested in just doing what he can for his own team and not worry about us until our next encounter. Oh and i am from the North East.
  16. Match of the day didn't seem to mention how good he was.

  18. where are people getting this stuff about man u fans wanting him ?
  19. That is shocking for them. I like Liverpool they should be doing better than that. I know we don't fill our stadium every week but Liverpool are the 2nd bigest club in the country and only have 45,000 seats. There is also some optipism (or atleast you would have thought) with the fact they have a knew owner. If this continues i will lose a lot of the respect i had for Liverpool mainly because a lot have criticised us when we have perhaps what they considered usto be not supporting our team well through the bad patches. Which is fair enough but when a club like that falls that far short of filling their stadium, and boo their team off the pitch especiallly when they bang on about YNWA and the liverpool way etc and how they have class, to me anyway it seems hypocritical. Liverpool have often looked down their noses at us(oratleast thats the impression iget from forums like RAWK aswell as phone ins and some Liverpool fans that i know myself) and other supporters for booing and jeering their own team and if someone was ever to ask a liverpool fan most would have said something along the lines of Liverpool fans don't do that, it isn't in the nature of a Liverpool fan. For the moment atleast that is proving to be a load of s***.
  20. Unless Spurs were after a massive loan fee then it would be a low risk transfer, so even if he was a flop there wouldn't be much to lose however if he is as good as we know he can be then it would be a gamble that is worth taking, imo.
  21. It was pointed out to me on another site earlier on today that the five yellow card rule becomes redundant on the 31st December. I never knew this this, but it is good news for Newcastle. This means that you don’t get suspensions for picking up five bookings anymore, and a player will only get a suspension if they pick up ten bookings between now and the second Sunday in April, although the suspension will be for two matches instead of the usual one.
