  1. Why? Newcastle United is a s*** organisation. Agreed, plus surely the real heart of the club is the fans and if the fans are making a shirt surely that has more to do with nufc than a shirt made by puma who are only loosely associated with nufc and didn't care to spend enough time and thought in to giving us a decent shirt.
  2. That makes no sense. I think he is trying to say that people may not be willing to spend money on a fans shirt if they have bought the new official one. Still makes no sense. Why would they have bought the new official one if they don't like it? Because some people do like the shirts but would prefer a fan made one which currently isn't available or it could be because some people collect themalso because some people like to be up to date with the newest strip or even just buy it because there is no alternative..

  4. Raoul moat is a killer who is currently on the run in Northumbria after shooting 3 people 2 people in Birtley (his ex girlfriend and her boyfriend) and a police officer in East denton. Hence the part about him having a deadly shot and he is one of the most wanted men in the country hence the part about him being wanted. Could this not have gone in the jokes thread ?
  5. I realy like this idea, i have already decided i wasn't going to buy the new shirt and was deciding which retro shirt to buy. If the shirt was backed by the SBRF i would definately buy it.
  6. I wonder how much of this has to do with Calderwood who apparently did seem to rate him quite a bit at forrest didn't Calderwood try to sign leon best a few times aswell.
  7. Like the underdog do you? I like them because they are clubs which are either different or have something special about them. Whats so special/different about Flamengo? Boca, Barca and Liverpool i can see the attraction but Flamengo? Apparently they have the biggest fanbase in the world and its not just because of a load of glory supporters. Could believe that, I'd estimate that 75% of shirts I saw people wearing in Brazil were Flamengo, upto 95% in Rio. I heard they have an estimated 33 million fans. Which is a huge number, i would be quite interested to find out how many fans we have, we are considered to have one of the biggest fanbases in Englandi would be surprised if we had a tenth of their fans.

  13. Anyone know how much transfer money he might be getting ?
  14. I chose Newcastle, for me it's club before country. I don't know why it just is. Preferably if we do some day win a trophy though it wpuld be something bigger than the league cup(not that i wouldn't be happy with a league cup win) i just think that an F.A Cup or dare i dream, Premier league or Champions league would make more of a statement and ofcourse would mean so much more and nobody would be able to dismiss it as a mickey mouse trophy.England doesn't seem as personal, i don't get grief from Germans or Argentines about not winning anything for since the sixties like i do from man u, liverpool or Sunderland fans.
  15. I think it's because the police themselves tried to hide from any blame and put it all down to the fans of Liverpool, not to mention i imagine that behaviour like that was normal in those days for most clubs which meant that there should have been a Taylor report of some sort years before. I think if you are going to have a go at Liverpool fans for that then you should have a go at all football fans in general because i am sure that there would have been situations like thatat many other clubs including ours. I mean didn't our very own Alan Shearer admit to sneaking in to st james' park when he was younger?
  16. http://www.dailypost.co.uk/sport-news/liverpool-fc/2010/06/28/culture-minister-slammed-for-hillsborough-comments-55578-26743327/ Culture minister slammed for Hillsborough comments Jun 28 2010 A FORMER minister branded Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt’s remarks on the Hillsborough disaster a "disgrace" in the Commons today. Labour’s Derek Twigg said relatives of the 96 people killed in the April 1989 incident were "deeply distressed" by Mr Hunt’s comments. Home Secretary Theresa May said the judicial inquiry into the disaster had been "absolutely clear" that no Liverpool supporters were to blame and she agreed to meet representatives of the families. Mr Hunt’s remark came during an interview about England’s poor performance in the World Cup. He said he was "incredibly encouraged by the example set by the England fans. I mean, not a single arrest for a football-related offence, and the terrible problems that we had in Heysel and Hillsborough in the 1980s seem now to be behind us". He later apologised to Liverpool fans and the families of those killed and injured. The 96 fans died and hundreds more were injured after a crush developed in the Leppings Lane end of Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough stadium during an FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest. During Commons question time, Mr Twigg (Halton) told Mrs May: "You will be aware of the comments by the Culture Secretary this morning linking the Hillsborough disaster to football hooliganism - this is a disgrace. "I’ve just recently spoken to some of the families who lost loved ones at Hillsborough - they’re deeply distressed by this and angry about what’s happened. "How can they have trust in the Government that they will see through the proper release of the Hillsborough files given that that’s the view held in high parts of the Government?" He asked Mrs May to meet "urgently" Mr Hunt and the families of those killed to discuss the matter. The Home Secretary pointed to Mr Hunt’s apology, adding: "The judicial inquiry was absolutely clear on this point - the Taylor Report cleared Liverpool supporters of any allegations they were to blame for the terrible events that took place at that time. "The families of those who sadly lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster have conducted a very dignified campaign over the years to try to ensure that the information is released and that they are able to see all the details of what happened at that time. "I have already met the Bishop of Liverpool to discuss the work that his panel is doing in looking at these issues. I would indeed be happy to meet representatives of the Hillsborough families." Lord Justice Taylor’s official inquiry into the disaster, which reported in 1990, criticised senior police officers on duty at the match for a "failure of control" and recommended the introduction of all-seater stadiums. A group set up to study previously secret documents relating to the Hillsborough tragedy met for the first time in February. The Hillsborough Independent Panel, led by the Bishop of Liverpool, the Right Rev James Jones, will oversee the public disclosure of archives held by the emergency services, the city council and other public bodies in Sheffield
  17. I am sure, i heard something on ssn a year or 2 ago that30 % of players in England are English 40 % of players in Germany are German 60% ofplayers in spain are Spanish and 70 % of players in Italy are Italian.
  18. Am i the only one who thinks that England players do actually care ? I matleast for the reason that that they are as good as they are as children they must have spent ages playing football to have the skills they have and the only reason i can imagine them doing that is because actually like the game. Yes, they underperformed, yes they like their Bently's and yes they are on massive wages but i still believe they care.
  19. Stay. He is a good manager and i think we should give him until Euro 2012 to prove him self.
