  10. Is there a limit to the amount of people that can join a league?
  11. I think you would have to be a few screwdivers short of a toolbox not to. However, i couldnt see this happening in a million years so why even discuss it.
  12. His stock keeps rising, shame we (the club) were so short sighted (including many of the fans) he would never had made it so well with us, aside from the instability due to constant board and managerial changes lets face it we've not exactly got a track record of coaching the best out of players have we? i remember brummie saying he thought villas coaches would get a lot out of milner when they signed him and he's right, that shits not just happening by accident and our players mostly regress for that exact reason imo yeah spot on. Take Duff for example, i know he is significantly older than Milner but i still think this applies. I know his poor spell at Newcastle may well have been partly due to him not being fully committed to the cause, but a large part of it has to go down how he was coached here and how he was told to play. If you look at his impressive season at Fulham, you cant put it all down to him suddenly becoming inspired and motivated again, it has a lot to do with the way he has been coached at Fulham and the structures he has been put in that suit him quite well. In Milners case, from what i understand we insisted on using him as a winger, and now Villa have stuck him in the middle and he is flourishing. I believe this is a big reason as to why high quality players fail to sustain their form when moving on to another club.
  13. yeah now watch him score against us....oh wait

    Club statement

Plus significant reduction in the wage bill, plus you'd expect there to be a reduction in the (alleged) continued payments to other clubs of transfer fees for players no longer at the club, plus the future income we should be getting from sponsorship deals that in recent years had (allegedly) been spent up front by the club, plus the staggered payments for players we've recently sold (Milner, Bassong, Martins, Duff, Given, Zog). Does anyone know approximately how much Butt was on out of interest?
  15. Ive learnt the hard way that you shouldnt bet on games at the tail end of a season. The teams that have nothing to play for dont give a shit and lose, simple as.

    Nicky Butt

Instead of putting shit on butt, i look at it this way. How many 35 year olds can you think of that still put in solid performances week in week out at the highest level (obviously im talking about last season), but even in the championship to an extent. Some names that may be brought up are Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs, but did we honestly expect Butt to be anywhere near as influential as these two? Although of late the good things that he does on the pitch are few and far between, everyone seems to have a predisposition to ignore his good plays and magnify the poor ones.
  21. Spain/Rooney @ 50/1 is well worth a go imo
