Tbf I assumed he was American right away, not sure why.

Only just remembered he existed last night while playing FIFA. It's definitely happening now.

2014 FIFA World Cup Brasil™ - Europe vs. America

Korea's squad. I'm surprised that's two teams now who've picked their 23 so early. Can't hurt to have a look at a few of the fringe players during the camp/warmup matches. But I guess I have no clue what the makeup of this Korea team is like, so this might make more sense. Goalkeepers: Jung Sung-ryeong (Suwon Bluewings), Kim Seung-gyu (Ulsan Horang-i), Lee Bom-young (Busan I'Park) Defenders: Kim Jin-soo (Albirex Niigata, Japan), Yun Suk-young (QPR, England), Kim Young-kwon (Guangzhou Evergrande, China), Hwang Seok-ho (Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Japan), Hong Jeong-ho (Augsburg, Germany), Kwak Tae-hwi (Al Hilal, Saudi Arabia), Lee Yong (Ulsan Horang-i), Kim Chang-soo (Kashiwa Reysol, Japan). Midfielders: Ki Seung-yeung (Sunderland, England), Ha Dae-sung (Beijing Guoan, China), Han Kook-young (Kashiwa Reysol, Japan), Park Jung-woo (Guangzhou R&F, China), Son Heung-min (Bayer Leverkusen, Germany), Kim Bo-kyoung (Cardiff City, Wales), Lee Chung-yong (Bolton Wanderers, England), Ji Dong-won (Augusburg, Germany). Forwards: Koo Ja-cheol (Mainz, Germany), Lee Keun-ho (Sangju Sangmu), Park Chu-young (Arsenal, England), Kim Shin-wook (Ulsan Horang-i). -
134 which I'm only vaguely disappointed with as I didn't watch football in the 90's and early/mid 2000's. Completely blanked on a lot of the easy one's from those years though. Pascal Chimbonda though, fuck off.

I can't remember watching a game of the 98 World Cup but that Brazil commercial was one of my favorites.

More proud I made it on the BBC website than anything else I've done in my life.

It's not even like his body looks that huge, just normally overweight. I don't understand how that happened.

Not like Suarez to milk something

I recommend you don't go to any Argentine games. I guess the 90's aren't dead everywhere

How can someone wear a bucket hat to a football game and expect their team to win?
-
No fucking way

hilarious

That's a finish that is

That's what I thought. Still doesn't seem like a very livable job, but can't find a good source on wages.
-
Anyone know what wages are like in non-league compared to League 2? If promoted will these players be doubling their wages and not forced to work another job (I'm just assuming they do that now)?

Here's Ghana's 30-man squad. Pretty sure no one cares, but it's the first squad list released as far as I know which means we're so goddamn close. Goalkeepers: Stephen Adams (Aduana Stars), Adam Kwarasey (Stromsgodset), Daniel Agyei (Free States Stars), Fatau Dauda (Orlando Pirates) Defenders: Samuel Inkoom (Platanias), Daniel Opare (Standard Liège), Jonathan Mensah (Évian), Baba Abdul Rahman (Greuther Fürth), Harrison Afful (Espérance), John Boye (Rennes), Isaac Vorsah (Red Bull Salzburg), Jerry Akaminko (Eskisehirspor), Jeffrey Schlupp (Leicester City), Rashid Sumaila (Mamelodi Sundowns) Midfielders: Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien (Milan), Mubarak Wakaso (Rubin Kazan), Rabiu Mohammed (Kuban Krasnodar), Kwadwo Asamoah (Juventus), Emmanuel Agyemang Badu (Udinese), Raman Chibsah (Sassuolo), André Ayew (Olympique de Marseille), Anthony Annan (Schalke 04), Christian Atsu (Vitesse), Emmanuel Frimpong (Barnsley), Albert Adomah (Middlesbrough) Strikers: Jordan Ayew (Sochaux), Abdul Majeed Waris (Valenciennes), Kevin-Prince Boateng (Schalke 04), Asamoah Gyan (Al Ain) -
I really hate them. Hoping for anyone but them really, but Derby would be my preferred choice.

Nah, it's a brilliant header. Perfectly placed with the right pace. It was a good header but Howard did not need to dive like that should have been a routine stop. Something going on today with Howard. Him being fairly shit probably has something to do with it. He's been excellent all season. Those aren't even the mistakes he usually makes, generally a good shot stopper with weaknesses in other areas. I know what you mean but that phrase bugs me in reference to goalkeepers, surely being a good shot stopper is the very minimum requirement of any goalkeeper at any level and saying they're a good shot stopper always sounds like damning them with faint praise to me. Fair enough. Some are better than others at it obviously, and I've always considered Howard to be one of the better ones. Most of his weaknesses come down to mental mistakes or poor distribution, but otherwise he's a solid Premier League keeper, except for today and last season.
