  1. I'd love to see Obertan start off the bench. His most impressive performance for us was as a sub. He could be a good squad player, but he's done nothing to warrant going 90 almost every game.
  2. BBC live text has said some nice things. So surreal to hear people so positive about us.
  3. - We're good - Santon looks spectacular, so fluid. - I was questioning Pardew for the entire time from the subs to the goal. But wow, he made the right decision. Obertan for Marv looked like the only way to go. - Wow - Not only was that a good result, but what a performance. Great fluidity, good passing, and solid defense barring two lapses. Absolutely our best 90 minutes this season, for me. - Ben Arfa
  4. Saylor makes one really bad decision every game, it just hasn't hurt us until now.
  5. Just watched the highlights, that shot after turning the defender from RvP. So cruel that didn't go in.

    Steven Taylor

That picture of him on the main Guardian football page is class.
  7. some terribly shit 1 on 1 defending by Wigan.
  8. Glad to see the tactics backfiring, leaving Rooney, Hernandez and Nani on the bench is ridiculous.
  9. Two cunts going at it. That's the most entertainment so far.
  10. I hate Sir Alex's big game tactics.
  11. Those are such beautiful words to read.
  12. Pleased they got Estonia, I'd really like to see Ireland at a major tournament. One of the few times a playoff draw has worked in favor of the teams I want to see.
  13. You're right, he's only shit most of the time. I used to like him as a player, but the past season and a half he's been extremely inconsistent, I'd love to have him out there against us.
  14. Brilliant Orange is fantastic, As well as How Football Explains the World. I've had The Ball is Round on my shelf for a while now, I need to start that. Bloody Confused by Chuck Culpepper is pretty interesting, but mainly for American readers (I think it has a different name in the UK), and I'll always love The Damned Utd. Foul! by Andrew Jennings is a must, although slightly outdated as this point. And there's a Robert Enke book out I'd like to check out.
