Giovinco was the best player on form MLS had seen for his first two years. He's 31, hurt a lot, and is naturally diminishing as a player. Almiron has been better since he joined, and like it's been pointed out, was a start in Argentina, too.
He is coming off a long season and will only have 3 weeks off before January if this happens. Not sure throwing him into January matches in England will get the best out of him. He's talented though, I'll be very happy if this is true.
Serious question, how come? I'm always very sceptical of NFL owners taking charge of football clubs due to the franchise nature of the NFL.
He's just less of a terrible person than most. Even does smart things like lower the food/drink prices in his new stadium and of course they made more money from concessions because more people were willing to spend a normal price on food. Also his two teams are generally just good/well run.
I don't mind Berhalter, just the manner in which it happened. Also annoying that Oscar Pareja was the other option and they went with Berhalter. Pareja was my hope from day one, one of the few MLS coaches willing to play his academy products.
All Keane had to do was finish behind what was clearly the best mdifield then. Almiron is the creator of best attacking team in th eleague.
But yeah, anyone coming over from a league Bradley Wright-Philips dominates has to be questioned. Personally, I’d be really excited if we somehow pulled it off
There's always the risk because of that, but having seen him enough it's clear he's way above MLS' quality. Only comparable player is Giovinco when he first came over three years ago
Green's had a bit a resurgence lately, but he's only played well in the German second division. Wouldn't trust him.
Weah is at PSG and would cost actual money, so no chance.
