I've not read the Ornstein article, but given Romano is saying 4 years, could it be that Ornstein is saying it'll be a 4 year contract with the option of a 5th?
This screams of a Livramento or Hall type deal, where someone has become available that we think has vast potential and we want to pounce now and get someone who has the potential to become a £50m keeper in 3/4 years time.
Why is Anderson on that list? It's players like him we need to be keeping, especially given he's been putting in some really good displays towards the back end of the season, even if just for home grown player status in Europe too tbh.
