First Tyne-Wear derby since 2019 this, when Sunderland played our under 21's in the Papa John's.

How do we think he'll react on Thursday? Crowd are going to be on his back all game, and are going to make it really hostile for him. It's going to take a really mature performance from him.

Been an absolute rivetting day in La Liga today.

We where 5 minutes away from having a full weekend of Premier League football without any refereeing drama. Small steps and all that

Haaland is absolutely fuming.

I can't tell if this has been really entertaining or really boring

I feel people have this debate about City every year around this time, and they always end up winning by 10 points
-
City have deserved that for being so placid.

That was quality football. Or "Deliciously intricate" if you think you're a Shakespearian wordsmith.

The mad lads are actually doing it, they're sat on the half way line

Despite Liverpool being their usual spawny pricks, some good results today.

By the time we play these we'd have already played: Man City (A) Liverpool (H) AC Milan (A) Man City (H) PSG (H) Dortmund (H) Man United (A) Arsenal (H) Dortmund (A) Chelsea (H) PSG (A) Man United (H) AC Milan (H) Chelsea (A) Liverpool (A) Sunderland (A) We also have Man City at home the week after, this season has been unforgiving

This is about to kick off.

Out of interest @Froggy, what are the Man United's fans of Ten Haag now? Feels like he's starting to feel the heat, whereas a month ago everyone was still very much behind him. Feels like he's made some baffling decisions, Rashford continually starting, Martial being played in place of Hoijland. Varane just being ostracized, and a lack of any real fluidity in the way you play, think people are rightfully starting to turn on him.

If you just wanted to make an injury xi not including Tonali, you could have this: Pope Manquillo Botman Burn Targett Anderson Longstaff Willock Murphy Wilson Barnes

I'm sure people have mentioned it, but it's become noticeable how well he interchanges with Trippier, not in terms of position, but when to go forward. We like to ensure we have 3 defenders at the back while in possession, usually Burn would tuck in and Trippier would bomb forward causing an overload on that right hand side. While that's been effective, it can be predictable and cause a slight imbalance in the team, now however Trippier is more willing to stay back and allow Tino to go forward, and vice versa, meaning we're more unpredictable for the opposition to gauge. This one may have been by necessity, but it's once again a show of Howe adapting and changing via subtle tweaks in the system.

Yeah, other then the bizarre stoppage time, that was probably the competent display of refereeing I've seen this season.
