Frustrating half, we've pressed well, probed well enough and for the most part dominated the game, its just that final ball thats missing, story of our season really. They've defended well as well to be fair to them. Also Stephen Warnock is a horrendous commentator, and couldn't be more bias if he tried.

Going to be a cricket score this.
-
What a fucking ridiculous challenge.
-
Haaland again. Such a joke.
-
Happy with that to be fair, shame ASM is still out but Bruno being back is huge.
-
That's even more confusing ASM starting maybe?
-
Fraser and Longstaff for Bruno and Anderson? With Willock back in midfield obvs.

Have you tried pressing the mute button on your remote for a second time?

That's a proper kick in the teeth for Hertha.
-
Maybe it's because I don't often watch much football outside the Premier League, but the Mainz Vs Hertha Berlin game is so much more interesting then the Villa Vs Southampton game, the crowd actually seem like they're invested for a start
-
Love it when watching a game in another country, and some random Englishman is playing, like Jonjoe Kenny is playing for Hertha Berlin, it's proper random, more of this sort of thing
-
Do we think he's the type to drop down to League 1/2 like Mark Hughes has, in order to get another pay-check?
-
This Villa game is horrendous.

Have a real soft-spot for Betis after going to Seville earlier in the year, there stadium is real lush, and unique. Glad they've started the season so well
-
The defending for that second is utter horrific, just a simple ball between the two CBs Imagine what Howe could do with prime Perez btw

You know what, I know some people knock him, but his honestly and insight into the professional game is honestly so refreshing, and great to see, and his decision not to come here is obviously very understandable, fair play to him to be honest.

Feels like this is the game where Anderson starts.
-
Remember when he came into training at 10:30 the day after they took over as a way to impress them?
-
If I remember rightly, there was a six game period towards the end of the season, where we looked really good, where Ba, Cisse and Ben Arfa where scintillating, but the other 32 games where turgid and rank with dire football and fluky results, if we wanted to push on, sacking Pardew towards the end of that season would have been the correct thing to do. Instead he was the reason Ashley never wanted us to get into Europe ever again.

Him having the same win rate at West Brom as he did during his time here is *chef kiss*
