  1. In fairness, it has been, most people seem to realize it was just a bad day at the office with the context of us having just won 9 in a row. There are only a few people with wild takes

Its an off day, it can happen to any team, look and Chelsea losing to Ipswich the other week, this was the last game of 10 games in 5 weeks, and until today had won all 9, scoring 21 and conceding 3. The players looked leggy today. We now have a chance to reset and go again. Literally no need to be so irate

Howay man, calm down, we've just won 9 in a row
  4. Disappointing result and performance, but i'm not going to lose much sleep over it, we've played some good stuff recently, so i'm willing to just say it was a bad day at the office and move on, and to be honest, results like this when you've been on the run we've been on, can actually be somewhat of benefit, as it galvanizes the team an makes them sharpen up, a bit like the Villa result during the closing stretch of the 4th season. Fair fucks to Bournemouth though, they where quality, and deservedly won.
  5. Really tough game, they are deservedly ahead, and it feel like we've not really got going, hopefully that last 5 minutes lights a fire under us.
  6. Am I the only one that feels like this seasons iteration is slowing morphing into a classic as the season goes on, despite being indifferent at the start of the season?
  7. Are Burnley on course for the most boring promotion ever? They've only scored 31 goals in 27 games this season and have had seven 0-0 draws this season. Admittedly they've only conceded 9 goals. Ironically if they do get promoted, this defensive solidity will probably make them better next season compared to their attempt to stay up last season.
  8. Pfff, the real ones are watching Brechin Vs Hearts.
  9. Given the way they've gone on about this "Generational Talent" Le Fee, I assumed he was 18/19, but he's 24, and being farmed out to the Championship. Hardly a ringing endorsement
  10. Brechin of the Scottish Highland League are currently beating Hearts in the Scottish Cup.
  11. Out of all the "fan channels" that exist, these are by far the most sound.

I mean James just quoted two of your old posts that haven't aged all that well completely out the blue

Man Supertoon is getting shanked randomly here
  14. That may be the worst touch i've seen in a long time from Harwood-Bellis
  15. I typed all this out before Man United scored, but I think the overall point stands: I said it when he was appointed, it was always going to be interesting to see how Amorim's system would work in the Premier League, as literally no other team plays with a back 3 at the moment. It is a formation and system that seems to have died out a bit. (It'll come back at some point as is the cyclical nature of football), other people can tell me the minutia of why thats the case, but from my dumb eye, it seems that its because playing either a 3, or a box midfield can easily get round the the midfield 2 in the 3-4-2-1 formation. And thats the case today, Man United are playing a team that are on course to be the worst side in the 130 years of top flight football, and Southampton have continually had space to control the middle of the park. I get that Amorim has a system, but he has to adapt to the players he has, it can't just be this "Its my way or the highway" stuff he comes out with, and there is ample evidence now that this team can't really play this formation, and he needs to adapt, and essentially do what Howe did when he first came in. In that survival season we didn't really play the way he wanted us too, but he did what was needed for that scenario, then when he got a pre-season in, and recruited a few players that suited the way ideally wanted to play, we then became the pressing front foot machine we became. There is none of that from Amorim, and it is very stubborn and looks badly on him that he's not adapting, and i'll still agree with all of that when Man United inevitably score a late winner here.
  16. Please, Antony isn't fit to lace Wor Miggy's boots.
  17. This is the sort of game that under Ten Hag, Man United score two late goals and everything got swept under the carpet. Lets see if Amorim has the same luck.
  18. The name Mateus Fernandes throws me every time I hear it, as there was a player called Matías Fernandez that played for Sporting and Fiorentina about a 10-15 years ago, that was utter filth on Football Manager and for a good 5 years he'd always be the first player i'd buy in any save i'd play
  19. Newcastle 1 v 1 Bournemouth Brentford 2 v 2 Liverpool Leicester 1 v 3 Fulham West Ham 2 v 1 Palace Arsenal 1 v 1 Villa Everton 1 v 1 Spurs Man United 1 v 2 Brighton Forest 3 v 0 Southampton Ipswich 1 v 3 Man City Chelsea 2 v 0 Wolves
