Howe telling Tindall to be calm at full time
-
Just seen the clip and it really doesn't look great. It looks like his head ricochets off the floor. Hope the poor guy is alright, and it isn't as bad as it looks
-
Just further to this, I just worked it out, this is Premier League only, but if you take that average and and multiply it by the 125 corners they've had, it means they're wasted 99.6 minutes of matches just on taking corners alone. We're only two games into the season and they've wiped out a single full match, trying to be set piece freaks.

Wanting him to have a shocker, but also wanting to play Spurs in the final.
-
Literally any manager is going to come out and say "I'd love to keep him" like, unless they're kicking up a fuss or something. Its just the right thing to do as you don't burn any bridges. Imagine if the deal falls apart, and he stays with Howe having said "Yeah we have a lot of keepers, and its good to get him off the books". He'd feel pretty low about himself and not wanted. Its just good management to try and keep him happy even in departure.

Especially considering he's also just lost his father.

Good appointment from West Ham.
-
For a bear, he looks like a season.
-
West Ham have treated Lopetegui terribly like. They cancelled his press conference first thing this morning, then made him take training, and when that was complete they then fired him.

Rory Jennings whole schtick is to have massively wild takes, and to say it with such purpose an authority that people think he's telling the truth, when in reality all he's doing its making an outlandish statement to garner clicks and interaction which ultimately makes him money. Honestly I detest that form of "Content", the whole reason of doing it is rile up and give someone an emotional feeling, usually from anger, all so you can garner "interactions" with the ultimate aim of making a quick buck, it mirrors the current politic discourse in the western world and its depressing as all sin given how profitable it can be.

I find it kind of amusing that to this day we get seen as the pillar of time wasting in the league, when in actual fact we are one of the quickest to get the ball back into play in the league: Thats not to say that we don't do it, as we do, but every team does at one point or another.

This was very evident last night by the way, its so irritating:

The current talking point on the BBC Sport Live Feed is "Weird and Wonderful Trophy's teams have won". To which someone pointed out the Sheriff of London Charity Shield which we won in 1907, and its a thing of beauty, look at the size of it:

Didier Deschamps to leave France after the 2026 World Cup.

Harsh on Parkinson that.

Oh, and in the wise words of @Mike. Get fucked Froggy

Aston Villa fans probably:

When was the last time we won 7 games in row btw? I had a look and we didn't do it two years back, so I'm guessing it must have been in Sir Bobby? Incredible stuff.

7 wins in a row. Man United, Tottenham & Arsenal all beaten away from home. 20 goals scored. 2 Goals conceded. Home against a team 4 divisions below us. We are so losing this.
-
If that was his last game for us, his time here have been bookended by two absolute quality performances, both today, and that debut against Man United.
-
That was such an assured performance, i'm actually blown away. Its not like they had a rotated side, they went full strength, they where at home, had the crowd on their side, they where unbeaten in 13 games, and hadn't lost at home since last April, and we just rocked up, without two of our best players in Schar and Bruno, and we played our own way, and controlled the game, not the possession or the shot count but the game. They had the ball, but it always felt like that was because we wanted them to, and we dictated what they did, so much so that Howe had the absolute confidence to go 5-5-0, and say "Break us down, I fucking dare you.". We are morphing into an elite side before our eyes and its quality.
