  1. Before last season, we'd only made it past the 4th round once in 18 years
  2. Esse and Eze on both wings, going to be a radio commentators nightmare that
  3. This kit has made me wonder, why don't we see any all black kits more often? They seem to be quite rare, even for away kits and I can't actually think of a club that main home kit that is all black.

  5. Gameweek 21 - deadline Tuesday 14th January @ 19.30 Brentford 3 v 1 Man City Chelsea 1 v 1 Bournemouth West Ham 1 v 1 Fulham Forest 1 v 3 Liverpool Everton 0 v 2 Villa Leicester 0 v 2 Palace Newcastle 1 v 1 Wolves Arsenal 3 v 2 Spurs Ipswich 2 v 2 Brighton Man United 4 v 0 Southampton
  6. I was listening to the conference, and unless I just missed it, I don't remember hearing Howe say contract talks where "Ongoing", he said that from Dubravka's perspective its awkward to weigh up what to do as he has no security beyond the summer, as it is for any player that is out of contact, be that staying at the club with a new contact or moving on. I also don't think him getting a new contact is a particularly heinous thing either to be honest, if you give him a new contact, and he's on less wages than currently which you imagine he would be given he's probably still on the wages he was on when he was number 1, not only are you saving money in the sort term, it gives us the option to sell him in the summer for a small fee, which will help with PSR, even if it is just slightly.

    Sandro Tonali

0:50, still baffled how that wasn't given as a foul.
  8. Referee: Will Finnie Assistant referees: Lee Betts and Mark Dwyer Fourth official: Scott Simpson No idea either,
  9. Billings for €10m feels like a decent deal tbh, surprised an Everton or Ipswich arn't all over that.
  10. I would actually say that if Dubravka does stays, when Pope comes back it shouldn't be a certainty that he's automatically put back in, especially given how Popes form was quite poor before his injury.
  11. I actually think how assured Dubravka is on the ball is one of the reasons we've turned the corner tbh. It allows our defenders to use him when the opposition press us, and us to break into space, which is just not possible with Pope.
  12. If we send them down, I think @HaydnNUFC may die in an Everton Spaces induced fever dream/ wankathon.

    Emil Krafth

Quality news that, he's always solid when called upon.
  14. They play utter shit football, and I would never want him at Newcastle, but the football he plays is effective at keeping sides up, especially when you consider that in back to back seasons you've had teams that have been relegated playing "good" football in Burnley and Southampton have been relegated without a fight. When you consider the points deduction he had to navigate, the clown show of multiple takeovers, and the fact the club hasn't really had any investment, he's done an okay job when the remit is "stay in the league". Atleast in my opinion.
  15. Good to know Everton are still a basket case despite the change of ownership, sacking a manager 3 hours before a match is hilarious. Think overall Dyche has done a good job at Everton all things considered.
  16. Rob Edwards officially leaves Luton, with possibly the nicest statement from a chairman i've seen:

    St James' Park

He didn't say it quite like that, he said its a mega article about all the potential available options, each of their feasibilities, what the issues about them options are and how the club might react. He made a point of stating there is no definitive answer in the article, and that he has no knowledge as to what the club are thinking.
  18. Boyd Crowder in disguise imo:

  20. Liverpool failing to beat Man United and Tottenham in back to back games. Not my club.
  21. Waugh said on this weeks Pod on the Tyne, that as soon as the draw was made, this weekend was penciled in to give the first 11 a rest and an extended break, and he wouldn't be surprised if there are only a handful of players that started yesterday even on the bench, with the Under 21's providing most of it backup.
