You can spend £2b building a team of 25 of the worlds very best players over the course of five years. If you suffer 17 injuries, it's going to affect you. What Manchester United did in the 90's has absolutely zero bearing on the team we are today. It's not the same entity.

I never thought you'd become boring Shak but you're heading that way.
-
I would argue that it does.

Injuries mate.
-
It is always about me.

I put it down as a factor, not the sole reason. I've been very open about the fact that a lot of players have been poor and there have been a ridiculous amout of individual mistakes. Doesn't take away from the fact we've had 17 players missing at various points through injury while also not having Antony and Sancho. Fatigue sets in for other teams too. I think we can all agree that when this sort of injuries happen, getting results is very fucking hard. We haven't played well at all but have won 4 of our last 5 league games with a second string back 4 and CDM. Opposition fans such as yourselves might scoff at how poor we've been in those games, but we're somehow churning out results still. Once we finally get to start our first 11, if the performances continue like this, Ten Hag out and all that jazz.

Also on this, Pep was complaining about injuries when they had De Bruyne, Grealish, Kovacic and Stones out injured. Two of those not even guaranteed starters. Meanwhile we're out here starting Jonny Evans in 2023 (who's fucking injured now by the way).

We've been complaining about injuries from pretty much the start of the season. I don't feel like I have to keep justifying why I'm on this board reading opinions. I've been here for 13 years. I'm replying to something specifically related to us. All of which have been injured or suspended at various points of the season. They've probably missed about 20 games between them. The money spent on past investments is also a sticking point for me. We're laughed at because of how bad Maguire is and how he should never be playing for us, yet when we're forced to play him we should be happy because he cost £80m. You can't have it both ways. Lindelof has been playing as a full back. You're run 10x better than us though. All things considered you're a much better club than us right now in everywhere except commercially. A lot can change in two years. Who has accepted it? Poor play can partly be attributed to the injuries we've had, but I wouldn't call some of the defeats acceptable.

Likewise this post is excellent, because it has the admission that the views on us are prejudiced and imbalanced which is sometimes all I need to hear. Despite us being rivals, Newcastle is a great club that I have a ton of respect for. I genuinely sympathise with the injuries. There's just a small bit a validation when I see the realisation amongst your fanbase that injuries like this are incredible difficult to deal with.

It's not much the moaning about injuries, it's the bubble in which you don't seem to think it can affect other clubs. By other clubs I mean my club, hence why I'm reading about it and responding to it. I know injuries can affect a side. I know your injuries are now crippling, and are the reason why you were so poor yesterday. I know injuries are a huge reason why we've been so poor this season, but when I've tried to suggest it, I've been scoffed at. That's my issue.

If by every thread you mean two threads, then yes. I've attributed a lot of our form this season to injuries and have been laughed at because we've spent big in recent windows (despite those players all being injured). To see so many of you using injuries as an excuse for getting comprehesively beaten by Bournemouth, it's properly grinded my gears. You're not plucky Newcastle anymore. You've spent over £400m under your new owners and finished fourth last year. So by your own rationale when criticising Manchester United, you don't have an excuse for the loss yesterday. Your front three of Joelinton, Gordon and Almiron cost the same as Bournemouth's entire starting 11. Trippier going over and arguing with your own fans as well and using injuries as an excuse. Be completely honest with yourself when answering this question; if we just lost to Bournemouth and it was Bruno Fernandes doing that, what would the response be on here? "What a shit excuse for a captain." "Arguing with his own fans man " "Manchester United is a circus." You know fine rightly not one person would be praising him for his "courage" and "passion". Will of course receive a ton of flak for this post, but it rings true. You don't get to have one rule for your rivals and another for yourselves. If injuries can affect you they can affect other teams as well.

Hello.
-
I would swap you Rashford for Parkinson right now, and I've never heard of Parkinson.
-
Know how that feels. We didn't have a striker for weeks and weeks. Hard work isn't it.
-
Yes now you do but not at various points of the season. There were periods this season where we've had 12 senior squad players out. When I suggested injuries were to blame I was laughed at. Our entire defence has been out injured for months ffs. Let's see how you cope.
-
Hard isn't it.
-
Most inform side in the league marra. More points than anyone else over the last five games despite a lot of injuries and VAR conspiring against us.
-
Just remember, you've only lost your original stake, not £900. Don't get too beat up about it.
-
Old Trafford is a fortress once again.
-
It has cost Toulouse now.
-
On a yellow as well. No booking.
-
I'll give you 4.5 inches if you're not careful.
-
They look identical on the tele. But aye. If VAR did it's job we don't lose that game and very likely win it quite comfortably. We will beat Galatasaray.
-
Once again, this was the worst decision of the night. It's a straight red, but not even a yellow given. The same player was already on a yellow and he ended up scoring the equaliser. Where was VAR for this? Not even a check despite Hojlund being on the deck and receiving treatment.
