financial ? We're not in financial trouble though. Yes we have the debt, but when the Glazers bought the club the debt stood at £660 million, and it's down to £350 million. We've knocked off £290 million of debt in 7 years. It's only a matter of time before it's gone completely. We don't need to sell and the Glazers will continue to finance us. if he can get big money for a player he thinks is maybe about to become surplus (and recycle the wages aswell) or at least not the guaranteed starter then why not do it ? rooney hasn't looked the player he was for a while (IMO), I wonder what those who watch him day to day think ? I couldn't disagree more with the latter. I've seen every game for the last 10 years and it's incredibly important what he brings to the table. Yes, Fergie has coached the flair out of him, he's not as exciting as he once was, but he's a better player for it. Fergie replaced the flair with incredible work ethic. He's the ultimate team player with world class ability. There are no technical weaknesses to his game, he's a genius.

Why in the absolute fuck do you all spend so much time pissing and moaning about the Glazers then? Is it because you are actually so spoilt rotten that there is nothing else to whinge about? Remember that tedious nonsense with the Norwich scarves a few years back. We were a little petulant initially when they took over, and understandably so in my opinion. They bought the club with a loan and transferred even more debt to the club from their ownership of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wouldn't you be annoyed if someone bought Newcastle with a bank loan and plunged a club into half a billion quid of debt? The fans thought they were using us a quick fix to their debt problems in America and that they wouldn't finance the club. The Newton Heath scarves agenda was done with once we realised the Glazers were here to stay.

A lot of people might find this baffling, but I would be devastated if Rooney left, even for Ronaldo. He's much too important to the way we play. I know Fergie made a tactical decision in leaving him out on Tuesday (which could be seen as a good move due to how Welbeck played), but he is still very much the main guy in our squad.

Why exactly? Really? He's our best player. That's why. He's also the best team player, which is an attribute hard to come by in world class players these days.

Rooney's not leaving like, and if he did it wouldn't be for 25million ffs. Honestly think he'll be there for the rest of his career. I certainly hope so anyway.
  7. Thoughts? Would appreciate those from a rational Man Utd fan. So if you know anyone who fits that description, let us know what they say. I think the red card was a harsh decision, and it's ultimately what cost us. The mental crumble in the ten minutes after the sending off was disappointing. We were effectively winning the tie and were executing a perfect game plan against strong Spanish opposition. Not really a whole lot more I can add. Though our whole squad played extremely well, especially Giggs and Welbeck. Devastated. That's football. Also, nice dig, dick.
  8. Is that a double or a treble? It was me being a clown. Fulham/Sunderland, Stoke/West Ham and QPR/Soton all to draw was the best. Lost miserably. It was a hit and hope.
  9. Went for a silly tener on the Fulham, Sunderland and Stoke games all to end in a draw. 45/1
  10. Scores against Chelsea an hour and a bit later.

    LOL at Lolro

Lawro has got every prediction spot on so far this weekend.
  12. He had two very good seasons for us but this season he's been quite average. Against lower class full backs he looks like a million bucks, but in general he's very one dimensional and extremely one footed. Because of this when he comes up against top class defenders he's kept very quiet. Works very hard for the team though and keeps his head down. Very good squad player and certainly a lot better than Young, which brings me to... Overrated: Ashley Young. ----- A lot of people obviously don't agree reading the comments here, but I think Cleverley is underrated. Whenever he plays we are a much better side. He's fast on the ball, always makes the right pass, always gets into good positions and is very good at finding space. Hoping for many years from him as a first choice central midfielder for us.
  13. Bolton 3-0 up against Hull inside 8 minutes.
  14. Still got a holiday and a champions league game out of a penny. Not the same but still a decent consolation prize.
  15. Euro. Was around 17m sterling. Still expensive mind.
  16. Valdes to Arsenal, Reina to Barca, Szczesny to Liverpool?
  17. Well Javi Garcia hasn't exactly panned out. And we all know Gareth Barry. Plus Wanyama is the "it" guy right now. He's good, don't get me wrong, but for a team challenging the prem title? Nyah, no way. I really want us to sign Wanyama. Exactly what we need and probably the best we could realistically get for that particular position. Have a few Celtic supporting mates who reckon he won't be sold for less than 15m though.
  18. Can they void those bets once they are placed? I remember play put up a TV for a tener once and I bought ten of them and they refunded it saying it was a mistake and they couldn't ship it. After checking the terms and conditions mistakes are covered. I'd assume the bookies are covered in the same way.
  19. I'll give my thoughts when I'm in work tomorrow (4 hours ), if anyone cares that is. Fantastic result really. De Gea and Jones absolutely immense.
