It was actually the assistant referee that called it back if I remember correctly. All you heard was "he seemed to deliberately...." then the ref said, "deliberately?" and then the red came out.

10000% this. The time he assaulted Bobby Lee. The time he simulated being elbowed by Sol Campbell. Complete shitcunt of a human being. Pity Jimmy Savile didn't work his stuff on the baby faced cunt. http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00094/a_94705a.jpg You love making friends dont you Froggy Generally yes. It was cynical against Lee, and led to a direct goal, but the Sol Campbell one was an elbow and a red for me.

Solskjaer deserves that tag, but he was brilliant ALL the time. Leagues top scorer in his debut season. The season Beckham left he played on the right wing and finished the season with the most assists.
-
Rested Rooney on Boxing Day. There was no injury there.

http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/28330192.jpg Solskjaer is, incidentally, my favourite ever player. Something else that might not go down to well here considering the history.

You're right. We don't sing that every week. You hear the "cheer up Alan Shearer" chant maybe five times a season if that, and two of those are when we play Newcastle. It was chanted a lot when Shearer took over as a manager that season, which makes sense IMO. The other chant is a chant about Solskjaer, who is a club legend, and says "oh Alan Shearer, was fucking dearer," which is hardly a bitter chant. They're just chants though. Of course we still look back at what could have happened if we had signed the best striker the league has ever seen. He turned us down though and that's that.

Used to be unique here, in a way.

I've got nothing to say. Can't defend what he said and shocked he's come out with something so fucking petty as the wee club thing. He's normally good at this.
-
Fergie got a five match ban and a £30k fine last year for calling a ref unfit... And no, I'm not saying he doesn't get away with everything. That was a fucking heavy punishment.
-
In direct head to heads Mourinho has a much better record. One of the wins for Fergie was against Inter as well. I'd say Mourinho did win the battle when he was in England.
-
All you hear over here is how good the fans of Celtic are too. 90% of the ones I know are all cunts.
-
I thought he came straight back. When they played Barca in the cup winners final- they were shit scared of him, they knew him well at the time. Loan while at Barca.
-
Probably the most well-known transfer error from his opening few years at the club. Not sure if it was a record fee too. Was over a million anyway.
-
I'm Irish, catholic and hate Celtic. I have friends who say they support both and reckon they can't decide who to go for when the two play each other.

He was resigned by Fergie from Barca.

Viv Anderson was shite mate. He'd been a good player but hadn't in reality been a good player for 3 or 4 seasons. McClair was a different animal, very under rated and never ever gave less than 100%. Never seen Anderson play live to be honest with you so I won't argue at all there. Always thought he was seen as a good player for us and England so included him in the category of good signings. Loved McClair like. Been head of our youth academy for a while now as well. I like to see players held in high regard stick around with coaching roles for clubs.
-
He signed Anderson, McClair and Bruce early like. Pretty sure Mark Hughes was resigned in 87 from Barca as well. They all turned out to be extremely good signings and they were made early on in Fergies career with us. The youngsters we brought through in the early 90's were quite incredible really and deserved mention in that post as well, but yeah. That's a pretty close to mark post.
-
You may go back to calling him a cunt and I'll just ignore this thread. He's understandable a complete legend to us. Nothing will ever change that. He is Manchester United.
-
If your reactions weren't so fucking funny I wouldn't do it. Wormy.

How can you not respect a man who turned an English club into the biggest club in the World. He's dominated English football, rebuilt world class squads over and over and brought European success to a club who struggled in Europe for the best part of 20 years. He's almost 71 years of age and is still incredibly passionate about the game. I know how he grinds on everyone else, but his achievements are phenomenal and simply have to be respected.
-
Your level of respect for him as a person - absolute zero. Respect as a manager though?
