I would genuinely be signing an experienced striker like DCL for free and then investing everything else that we have into a midfielder with legs. I'm sure there's a plan though. Actually heard Ndidi's name mentioned a lot recently. Not sure how to feel about it.

Seems like the plan is indeed to play Fernandes in a midfield two with either Casemiro or Ugarte. Everyone knows that's a weakness, but other areas of the squad needed sorted first. Can see Mbeumo or Cunha playing up top at some point if we don't sign another striker. Amad will play RWB. He's been at his best there. For once I agree with you KaKa. I think if we make a move it needs to be for an experienced striker and we can allow Hojlund to develop without him having to play every minute of every game even when he's horrifically out of form. I think INEOS are probably scared to spend big money on a 28/29 year old like Mateta though as there's no resale value. At least if it's Sesko and it doesn't work out there's some money to be made back. I assume that's how they're thinking.
