On one of the other strands, people are saying that we are still an attractive club to players and that a few bad results doesn't change that, as if that is the reason why all these players want to sign for us (allegedly). Well deep down we all know it's all about the money, why else would a bunch of French players want to come and play for us? They are all getting serious pay rises. The problem with Pardew continuing is that he's very likely to get us relegated, and this time not only we will lose all the good players we have, we won't be in a very good position to come back up. I'm sure unlike the last time they all have relegation clauses and they'll all be off rapido, and who could blame them. Even if we do stay up, no ambitious self respecting player will want to continue playing for a manager who is absolutely incapable of setting up a team to win a match rather than not lose one.

Best RB I,ve seen playing for us. Maybe Beye got close for a while though he had definitely peaked by the time he deserted the sinking ship.
-
and QPR are no more likely to go down than we are, even considering they've only got one good player. There last three results, wins at Chelsea and WBA and a draw with Spurs, no goals conceded. If he was our manager do you think we would be going down. Answer is no, where with pardew there is a very good chance.
-
He's a much better manager than the charlatan we've got.
-
that would be from out of his butt.

I don't know why everybody is getting there knickers wet, where is the surprise that a player goes where the most money is? Apart from Shearer who could have no doubt gone to Man U if he just wanted the money, Gerrard who I think had better paid options ay one point away from Liverpool and I'm sure there are one or two others out there, it's all about the money. QPR might be a shitty little club, but they are no more likely to get relegated than we are, just as likely to win something (with our approach to the various cup competitions) and have a much better manager. I like Harry, he's a smart man pretending he's not, and gets results, and he's not particularly bothered how he gets them. They have an absolute shite team and yet they just beat Chelsea away and drew with Spurs keeping two clean sheets, something we could only dream about despite the talent we have at fuckwits disposal.

It is rather strange than back in Argentina nobody seems to know anything about Colo's wife being ill. Hopefully we'll get some clarification this week, if he's going we need to know quickly so we can get him replaced.
-
I'm sticking with an 8, if we don't buy heavily in this window it will stay there, if Colo goes it will be a 9 tottering towards a 10

Will and Santon our two best players, I'll give MOM to Willo!!
-
Willo's playing quite well really.

Wouldn't want to be a neutral watching this.

Birtles was the only entertainment on offer for the last 45 minutes. The referee thought the same he stopped the game after adding on exactly 2 seconds.
-
It's still 0-0 and maybe we'll get something out of the game, but Norwich are definitely better organised, pass the ball well, and are by far the better team. Over to you Pardew.
-
How can we be getting caught on the break after 20 minutes 3 against 2? Shit organisation.
-
Wasn't going to watch this but it's on Fox Soccer so I'll have to suffer or hopefully enjoy the game.
-
I'd give it to Taylor as well if I thought he could keep fit. With Shola he's probably the only player who really has any affinity to the club. I voted for Cabaye like most people but I very much doubt he will stay for much longer and we certainly shouldn't expect any loyalty from him the way this club is ran.

TRANSFER LATEST More from BBC Sport's Ben Smith regarding the Coloccini situation at St James' Park: "Further talks are planned in the coming days with Newcastle resolved to attempt to do all they can to persuade the Argentina international change his mind. "But privately, club officials fear that Coloccini has already set his heart on returning home to Argentina. Coloccini is the best paid player at St James' Park on £60,000 per week and has become one of the club's most dependable and popular players in recent seasons." 1210: TRANSFER LATEST BBC Sport's Ben Smith with alarming news for Newcastle fans: "Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini has informed that club that wishes to leave in the January transfer window for personal reasons. While the 30-year-old has stopped short of handing in a formal transfer request, a crisis in his personal life has prompted him to tell manager Alan Pardew that he no longer feels he can stay on Tyneside."

Norwich City vs Newcastle United - 12/01/13 @ 3pm (not on TV)

I would expect with that team to lose. Willo, Perch and Obertan are championship players, Colo is struggling, Santon is really struggling, Bigi promising but very inexperienced, there's not a lot of quality out there. -
The thing is why would OM or Remy make a decision now about selling him/where he wants to go?? His value and salary will only go up as the end of the window looms (Andy Carroll is the best example of this), clubs including us will no doubt get increasingly desperate, more money in the transfer fee and more money for his wages. Logic in it.

Coloccini was never as bad as it was made out or as good. Because he's composed on the ball and looks like an actual footballer compared with a lot of CH's doesn't make him a particularly good defender. His rate of decline this season is rapid, what little pace he had is gone and his positioning not good enough to compensate for it. Playing with tits like Williamson, Santon (positionally as bad a defender as you can find) and Simpson and with an absolute liability like Tiote in front of him doesn't help.
-
That was rank. It's in Ashley's court as usual, he has three options, get relegated (again), get rid of the clown in charge and employ a manager who can sort this shambles out, or invest heavily, especially in defence.
-
We were ahead three time and still lost, sign of a team that is going to seriously struggle. There are some seriously shit teams in the Premiership this season so we should just about be alright. mackems above us though and beating City where we just rolled over especially in the first half.
-
Poor Header by Perch, poor defending by Marveaux and poor keeping by Krul. Al-round shitness really.

Merry Christmas to everyone on the best website there is out there. Pity we are all supporting a club that has been run by and managed by the biggest set of wasters in the footballing wasteland that are out there. (there have been a few exceptions Robson, Keegan and Houghton but that's about it)
