Not surprising really. Any team with Perch (who played well), Best, Shola, Williamson, Simpson, and Ryan Taylor is never going to be very good, all of them are championship players at best.

Shola has been a lot more impressive than Best, he's held up the ball, won lots of headers and looks dangerous, whereas Best has missed two good chances including an awful header after Shola set it up to him on a plate.

All that's happening is that we are finding our true level and it's mid table mediocrity at best. We could of course go out and buy 3 or 4 players with the Carroll money and finish around 7th.

We are short of CB's, week at fullback, poor in centre midfield as soon as we have the slightest injury, we have piss poor wingers and only one striker who can score goals. Bolton aren't a bad team and will probably finish in mid table, however they are being completely outclassed. It's good to watch Man Utd. playing like this but this is ridiculously one sided

Well the boycott is well under way anyhow 42,000 for the Fulham game. I think we are regularly going to see much lower attendances at SJP than we have seen since we've been in the Premier League. Maybe Ashley will then bail out and sell up, we can only hope so, we are going absolutely nowhere being run like this.

Henderson looks good to me, first time i've actually seen the quality he has.

Vuckic also looks like he could be a handful playing just behind a main striker, he's big, puts himself around and obviously is technically good. Who knows how good a finisher he is or the rest of the so called strikers we have, maybe Pardew knows from watching them in training. Sammy showed yesterday that he could play either on the left or right, could beat his man with either trickery or pace and although he seems left footed, he didn't half spank his goal with his right. It's about time we started playing our promising younger players instead of just talking them up, look at Arsenal with Wiltshire and Ramsey etc

I think we have enough players already who can play the secondary striker role, Ben Arfa, Sammy, Oberton, even Ranger, they all are pretty quick and can work off a main striker. The main striker is the problem, neither Ameobi, Ba or Best look likely to score the goals that we need or to bother anybody but the absolutely worst premier league defences. Bendtner is probably the best option out there though I doubt we will pay the transfer fee Arsenal would like. Still if we are going to continue to miss out the midfield and play the long ball as we have done in the first three games I doubt it makes much difference who we sign anyhow.

Ba, Best and Shola don't look like they've 10 goals a season between them, so who is going to score? Seeing them play like this makes you realise that Carlton fucking Cole would actually be an upgrade over the three of them. A frightening thought.

Ba, Best and Shola are basically the same striker, big, black and immobile, with very little goal threat. Maybe Ba's not fit, I hope so anyhow as he looks terrible.

Well Marveaux looks promising but that's all really. Krul saved us from being out of this already.
