What a horrible boring game. Sissoko has been one of the very few French players who have done anything. Sold for a serious profit, the fat man wins again.

LVG and Man Utd. were responsible for some of the most dispiriting boring football I've ever had the misfortune to sit through the last two seasons and the good news for those who continue to watch them every week is that Mourinho is pretty much guaranteed to give you more of the same. They have spent a fortune and will probably spend another, but entertainment that they won't be getting.

BBC Podcast had Rafa linked to Agger and Raina, both easy assumptions but not that unlikely. Raina might not be the best goalkeeper in the world but his passing out from the back is as good as anyone's.

One thing is pretty much certain and that is if Rafa doesn't stay or is replaced with a manager of a similar standard, then this club should be left to burn to the ground, all support financial or otherwise should be withdrawn (as much as that is possible) and the Ashley out campaign should get everyone's 100% backing. We should know in days if we still actually have a club to follow.

Because he's just a manager? There is so much that he can influence - despite what the likes of Pardew claim. He could have brought Allen or Lucas on to help out the non existent midfield a lot earlier. Both Firmino and Coutinho have done the sum of nothing.

These top managers are meant to be so good, so how come Klopp has watched his team get completely overran for 20 minutes, concede two goals and do sweet f.a. about it?

Wut ? He's missed a lot of chances that an extremely expensive striker should have taken, if he'd scored a fraction of them we wouldn't have got relegated. Not much disputing that I would have thought.

The problem is there is no full-on riot about to occur at all, SJP will be full on Sunday, the sheep will bleat a little when Spurs score their 3rd or 4th goal, Rafa will wave goodbye and there will be 40,000 there with Bruce/Pearson as manager when Rotherham rock up in a couple of months time. The wolf is hungry and the sheep are happy to keep feeding him.

I know that Rafa is a serious step up from the recent shit managers we've had, but that's no reason for him to be above criticism for today's shambles. It's not so much the team he picked that was the problem, it's the fact we stood off Villa, gave them possession and confidence, and ambled around pointlessly for most of the match. What's wrong with playing two forwards, attacking them from the off and going for the jugular? Shouldn't be a surprise to anybody really, Rafa has always been a defensive manager and he loves his 4231. It's like watching most of Mourinho's teams, it's boring and it's wank.

This let that have the ball, defend deep and try to catch them on the counter, might work for Leicester, but against Villa is this really Rafas plan?
