Cabaye and Debuchy certainly used us as a stepping stone and it worked for both of them, but more recently as things got worse at the club this is no longer happening. So if we are no longer a stepping stone to a big club, don't pay high wages compared with many of our immediate rivals, don't appear to have any ambition above making money, why would good players come to us? It appears many don't. I hope I'm wrong as the current squad we have will get us relegated next season.

Unfortunately the list of players who have signed for NUFC recently and seen their International careers suffer drastically must be putting a lot of potential players off with the Euros coming up.
