Yesterday was a classic example of his rotten boring football philosophy. Go up a goal early, and then sit back, give Liverpool all the position, and eventually concede before losing badly in the second half. Mind you he's not helped by the fact only Willian is playing half decent at the moment.

Fortunately the Rugby is starting. For once the NUFC game isn't on TV in the Caribbean and the Swansea vs Arsenal is absolutely rank, and the Palace game not much better.

Why loan him out? There are serious doubts and no proof at all that Mitro, Perez, De Jong and Rivière can score the goals we need to stay in this division. Cisse is the only one who has shown he can score regularly, although it looks very likely he'll never do that again. Toney is promising, maybe he's the answer, sooner or later he's going to be playing if we continue like this.

Lots of people on here seem happy with our purported progress under McClaren. I'm not happy that we are second bottom, still have a shocking defence and are heading for at best a glorious escape from getting relegated. I'm not happy that he selects Elliot, Colo, Dummett (at LB), Colback, Tiote, Anita, Gouffran, Obertan etc. I'm not happy that we are relying on two unproven strikers who don't score in the league when we need them to, and are at best seriously overrated on here and at worst just pretty shit. Ashley has done a fantastic job when apparently most people on here seem to think that this is any way acceptable. No it's fucking not.

Anyway we would like to dress this up, it's just another humiliation. The mackems get a new manager, Villa get a new manager, what do we do? Accept this and get relegated?

The better players would leave, not that we have many good ones and the rest of the dross currently pulling on the shirt don't give a fuck and are crap anyhow. We have no idea what Ashley will do if we get relegated, but we do know that he'll continue with the same old survival shit, and make money at the same time if we stay up. We deserve to go down, I hope we do.

We would be doing better under Pardew. Doesn't mean anything except he's not quite as useless as McClaren.

Well Wijnaldum said he was signed to play number 10 and that's certainly where he wants to play. He was specifically quoted as saying he didn't want to play as a winger or in centre midfield. Thauvin actually said the same thing. De Jong can pretty much only play as a 10. I'm sure that Perez wants to play as a 10. Pretty crowded that number 10 spot.

I thought Anita had a very good game, lots of tackling and very physical considering his size. Much better than Colback in any case. Perez was immense especially with the amount of defensive work he did, Obertan's contribution was pathetic in comparison.

Mahrez reminds a lot of HBA. He might end up being better.

Some fantastic individual performances, however as a team lucky to get out of there with a point. If you concede that much of the possession and territory don't be surprised if they get the goal they deserve.
