    Match Atmosphere

Hardly a disgrace like some have said… https://x.com/msidouglas/status/1743643497461149923?s=61&t=kJE1AU_9T9TvzyV_ebeY8Q

    Match Atmosphere

I meant in terms of atmosphere/chants. Practically none unlike other aways this season. Was the biggest disappointment of the day TBH.
  4. That the argument just gets shut down when it’s clear that’s there’s a lot of support for his main argument. I.E. she’s rubbish. It be interesting if the same was done if the pile on was on JB. To make it clear I’m no JB fan and thought his overall time at our club bar 6 months was a disgrace or at best very underwhelming.

EH & Co must’ve seen what I saw last week. All our dangerous moments came attacking that area. 2nd goal killed them today. They miss Roberts as he always looks their best player when I’ve seen bits of them. Also seems like they’ve not had a centre forward for over a year which seems very odd.

    Match Atmosphere

Away end wasn’t bad. Not a classic show of support but nothing to be critical over really. Quietest concourse I’ve experienced this season mind. Home support apart from a few roars for some big tackles was very subdued. Understand the reasons but 12:30 UK is not conducive to a good footballing atmosphere.
  7. They’ve switched off their comments now which will just fall into the lap of his argument.
  8. He is. Never understood his followers on here and the credit they gave him for our promotion etc. The comments you put on record however could be given a creditable debate but alas society as it is now doesn’t really allow it hence the paradox where I guess some of his frustration comes from. He’s going about it the wrong way yet there seems no right way to argue her lack of merit if that his is true intention ?‍♂️
  9. In fairness the price they/we are paying for the hospitality it’s the least they could do ?
  10. Brighton do similar if I recall (only ground currently in EPL I’ve not been to but sure I’ve seen photos) to make away fans feel welcome and behave and treat the facilities better. Psychology etc.
  11. They were both played in the 00’s. Not pre ? Anyway… Im hearing we are playing in our home strip thankfully ?
  12. Like I say ill take your word for it but don’t recall any free buses for the last several derbies and any non stop metros pre 00’s
  13. I think FFP is doing the club a slight favour and making progress steady and sensible. Always think it’s the impatient fans with silly expectations that get their knickers in a twist about FFP. Enjoy the ride. Will take 5-10yrs but it will be worth it.
  14. You’re not understanding what I’m saying by bubble. When the club were putting buses on they weren’t putting special metros or trains. They were just normal commuter journeys where fans could mix. Hence encouraged to take the free return buses. When the club stopped them they put on NUFC only metros and trains that were non stop practically to the ground.
  15. Don’t recall the bubble bus AND bubble metro operations running in conjunction. Yes you could go by metro but not that I recall especially laid on ones that didn’t stop. I recall them coming in when they stopped the bubble buses but will take your word for it… Ive been to every away derby since 1992 expect when ill and missed the first one we lost in a while down there (Keane/SA). First few just made own way including the one when away fans were banned so was in home end (dropped at ground each time in car) then the bubble buses came in to allow away fans then they were replaced by bubble metro/trains is how I remember it ??‍♂️
  16. Metros and Northern Rail services replaced the club buses due to cost. They never co existed. I understand that but that could never realistically happen with a 12:30KO In Sunderland anyway. You’d want to be at the ground 12ish latest with the increased allocation and the journey and parking would be 30-45mins at least. So you’d need to be drinking 9-11am. I just don’t see the need and like I’ve said unanswered it speaks volumes someone’s priorities. Plenty time post match for a drink if you can’t go a match day without one. It’s a culture of ours I’ve never understood along with that 6am airport pint to a lesser extent. I think there’s more functioning alcoholics in this country than people care to admit. Like @huss9alluded to surely the bigger concern 8:30-12 is some breakfast/food ?

    Lewis Hall

I agree. My initial concern about him was this and also (but less so) his strength and height. He’s quite quick with the ball but not much quicker without it seems.
  18. You don’t need to prioritise it I agree but like you say your friends have sacked it off for this very reason which means they have chosen too. The buses were used in 00’s like I said and atmosphere was fine. Helped we won every time it felt. They can still have a drink at the stadium pre during and post the game. Surely that is sufficient? Especially for such an early KO?
  19. You are wrong. I went on the the club buses a number of times and it was exactly the same set up. You’ve clearly travelled independently which is totally different and not an option on this occasion with us getting double the usual amount of tickets. Get the impression they have drinking prioritised over attending which is their choice but speaks volumes.
  20. Not if we win. They’ll be begging us to get on the buses ? Every derby is the same though regardless of buses or metros. They hold you back 30-45mins. Was similar in Europe apart from Dortmund.
  21. Not sure what the issue is? Free safe return transport. Alcohol on sale for those who feel they must have it. I get the first batch of buses are departing early is not ideal (I’m on one!) but that aside can’t see what’s to complain about. No different to the arrangements we used to have in the 00’s.
  22. I don’t think any of them should’ve been pens. Diaz makes contact with Botman IMO. Ran across the challenge and stood on his foot. Alas such small margins…
  23. Wasn’t for upper body contact. The defender cutting across him makes contact with his leg so possible trip… ?‍♂️ https://x.com/thatnufc/status/1742116986568523989?s=61&t=kJE1AU_9T9TvzyV_ebeY8Q
  24. People going way over the top with the criticism of our performance. As for the two penalties. Don’t get me started. Surely what VAR was brought in to correct ??‍♂️
  25. Calf strain. Out for two games apparently. https://x.com/nufclc/status/1741875690599813374?s=61&t=kJE1AU_9T9TvzyV_ebeY8Q
