If you take a step back this season might not end up massively bigger to last. We enter the League cup a round later so that will help. Also with the Xmas World Cup the winter break will return this season. I appreciate we would hope to progress further in the FA Cup this season but chances are we won’t get as good a draw for the League Cup that took us all the way to the final. Before the January window ends we’ll have a very good idea how many games we have left. Ultimately EH has hopefully got the players in he can trust as it’s up to him how and when he rotates and it was pretty clear last season he wasn’t keen to, particularly in defence.

No one fancy giving A.Murphy a chance? Develope what we have a cheaper option and was impressed with him in pre-season games. Played the role very well.

On the topic of Hall I’ve two quick questions: 1. Has he signed a new 6 yr deal? 2. If Hall wanted to join us as our interest has been a fairly open secret all window why would he sign a 6 yr deal making it harder for us to transfer him?

Was impressed with the pace in Wolves midfield unless it was fitness. Something we still lack in midfield I feel. That pace for driving through midfields and for defensive recoveries.

Don’t know their squad at all but heard on the radio the other day they had quite a few of their better players injured last season returning for this one so they’d be in better shape than it might first appear.
