Reference bus strike is it not just Go Northeast? Or is it all companies?
-
Is that you at the end celebrating? @SteV
-
Out for 3 months. No op. Just healing required.
-
You’d be breaking the T&Cs of the previous conditions doing that as has been explained before. You’ve NEVER been able to legally give your away ticket to someone else regardless the situation without notifying the club first.
-
Something else that needs to change in my view. Being able to re sell your ticket back to the club so close to KO is not much use to someone wanting to go and favours more someone buying with the wrong intentions but I’m sure others would argue this covers last minute illness. So again another new rule that can be argued both sides. https://x.com/nufctrust/status/1707314987234914340?s=61&t=kJE1AU_9T9TvzyV_ebeY8Q

Cant disagree with much of that. The sad thing is it really should be a great time to be an NUFC fan yet it’s clear the supply/demand situation is going to cause a lot of disappointment. Roll on a better website but more importantly a bigger stadium ?️

The problem is the club is trying to “grow” its fanbase not settle with its current numbers. So makes no sense for “them” to restrict memberships despite previous members not being able to attend as regularly so far. Your anecdote about your friends is a perfect example of what they are trying to achieve. Some will fall in love with club and want to return and others won’t. This will be a long process lasting years whilst they decide between expansion of ground or building a new one at least if not beyond that. As for Glastonbury it’s never restricted it’s registration numbers making it harder every year but it does however have a cut of point though it’s very broad. I know after speaking to you about this elsewhere you’ve had zero success so I can imagine your frustration when you probably hear of new members having a fair bit of success. I can only repeat it’s still early days and hopefully come the end of the season you’ll of had more success and experience again what you enjoy most with your son. If it makes you feel any better I’ve never been successful getting Glastonbury tickets when I know friends who seem to get them almost every attempt.

Keep checking website. You never know your luck when one might pop up.

They don’t. The very fact you can’t transfer something gives you the right to a refund. This is definitely the main reason as I see it along with generating extra revenue. Others fans acting as middlemen doesn’t give the club a true picture of demand hence the decision to gain slightly more control both home & away.
-
Probably due to low home uptake but I believe Charlton took 10k last year. @Froggywill probably confirm the craic.
-
Yep. Man Utd away will be 7-10K depending on their home uptake.
-
Yeah the bigger picture I think people are understanding of the changes. I always feel it’s the technology both at the ground and the website/booking IT the biggest gripe. Regaining some sort of ability to choose where you sit would probably quietened 80% of gripes if not more.

Pep having a word in Bruno’s ear at the end……

There’s nothing wrong with that if it’s me you are asking? I’m on the same side of the argument regards that. From what I can see in here is the ones upset on here are part of a coach travel/multiple ST holder (Simon?) cartel. I posed questions yesterday about this operation and individual to those vocal about the unfairness of the new away system and none of them have responded.
-
Which is still basically what I’m saying (ability to rotate names each game rather than the same for the whole season) and if so probably ends the argument stone dead. It’s a legitimate way for different people to go during a season on company/corporate tickets.
-
Had a feeling when lineup was released this was EH’s thinking and might be more so going forward. In a way it avoids his dislike of rotating his back four. Have two fixed sets of four.
-
Sometimes it’s a simple game. Never underestimate a single great tackle at SJP and the effect it has on a game… https://Twitter.com/j_lke3/status/1707274903865507975?s=46&t=DDNXUN2PoOBhgKmoF77zNw

Was great to see that bite he was famed for at Everton (high speed press and forceful tackle) return tonight. Absolutely lifted the crowd just when it was needed. Don’t want us to take that edge out of him. He starting to feel at home at SJP after some very good away performances.
-
Same applies for away games. Trains and accommodation can be refunded/credited or amended if book wisely and the club will refund or credit your away ticket if you return it.
-
Wouldn’t be so sure on that although i do hold my hands up in having no experience with corporate tickets for decades. I always thought the idea of a corporate ticket would be a representative of the company would take one ticket and would be held responsible of the actions of their guests which would likely be different game by game. Not much benefit to the company/holder if you can only wine and dine the same customer every game. Hardly good for their business. They surely take different people per fixture home and away?
-
If you are ill you can get a refund/credit for your match ticket or transfer to a friend if a home game. Same with trains and most accommodation if you use book wisely.
-
I appreciate the point you are trying to make (as anyone who knows me knows I’ve always tried to help people out from far and wide on here along with day to day friends) however by the letter of the law there’s been no real changes as such. It’s always been the T&Cs for decades the purchaser of the ticket should be the one going to the game. That’s why they have to offer full refund if you can’t attend within a fair timescale. They are simply trying to enforce it more so they have a truer picture of who wants/is going to the games as well as increase income via more memberships. So in theory these alleged avenues she might be using have been available whereas those who feel they are missing out actually strictly shouldn’t of been. They’ve just benefited from knowing someone with a ST or even a ST with points which is just a different kind of nepotism.
-
Without knowing for sure or being in the know at all these are the two most likely situations and I’m guessing the first one to comply ironically with the new rules. Just a possible scenario the likes of Hurst/Martin at the time had more than one ST for their business even possibly in their own names and have had to made a decision to put them in certain names going forward. Last season under the old rules Charlotte Robson was at Brentford away in the seat next to George Caulkins so unless it was an extreme coincidence it was either a case of GC using a TF away ticket of CR using a ticket that GC had acquired via his contacts or Athletic. Whoever this Simon is should in theory still be able to put a bus on as away ends still selling out. He might have to be more competitive with his prices to entice people away from cars and trains. Shouldn’t be too difficult as my mate had to pay 2x£65 for a coach (someone called Paul) to Fulham for him and his son! I made the same trip for less on the train. The fact that he can’t because he can’t transfer his multiple STs doesn’t show his intentions in the best of lights as they really shouldn’t go hand in hand. @jack j How many has he got? Are they all in his name? What does he do with them now? And what does he do with the home fixture seats?
