  1. You could tell the difference between Arsenal’s patch side when we beat them 2-0 and their full XI. Their midfield much beefier with Partey. That’s why I never get too carried away with Bruno. He’s very good and I love him but he’s not as great as he’s made out to be. Yet to see him really shine against the better teams. Not all down to himself of course as he needs someone powerful, athletic and more technical alongside him as he’s not going to get any faster or bigger. Not sure Tielemans is that player as more of an 8 to me.
  2. Ritchie’s attitude is ideal for these type of games to keep everyone’s levels up.
  3. To defend Neville he was basically just saying Arsenal had limited options in the forward areas on the bench. Let’s not make it he was claiming we were enriched with quality. Just a broad variety of options which we do. Did find it funny that Merson and Ferdinand were saying we were making the game scrappy which was suiting us more (which was true) yet the yellow card count at HT was actually 3-2 to Arsenal ?
  4. Isak will be starting with a full week of training surely? ?

    Kieran Trippier

One of his best games for us easily. His calmness helped others around him.
  6. Well after my Saka watch I’m still a little mystified with all this £120-50m talk. Clearly rapid but also fairly 1D and kept quiet before fading after bright opening spell. Don’t get me wrong he’s good but like Rice hyped. No doubt I’ll be adding Bellingham to my list in the near future ?
  7. Been saying this all post match. Joelinton shouldn’t of been booked and was never a FK.
  8. No Fraser on the bench? Could’ve done with him late on.
  9. How much do they want for Kone? Leicester want £33m for Tielemans reportedly.
  10. Goes on about respect and honouring a legend yet he was taking selfies stood beside Pele’s coffin. Could turn out to be worse than Blatter still.
  11. Massively with price being quoted anywhere between £70-120m. Pundits and media always gushing with praise for him. Every time I see him he looks limited ?
  12. Newcastle aside. Interested to see Saka up against us as like Rice I just don’t see the hype but I’m clearly missing something.
  13. Wilson will be starting you’d think fully fit. Last time he did away from home was Spurs away as he was never at the races against Southampton. I know they’ve lost Jesus (and coped well) but you forget how much we’ve had to cope without Wilson also. Hope we go for it with ASM starting though there is an argument that the key to a result is surviving Arsenal’s fast starts to games.
  14. Quickest to 20 league goals possibly ?‍♂️
  15. Far too early for me to be examining the league table so far to go before Chelsea away last game. I’ll check back into this thread end of April ? We can finish top 4 if we beat 3 of Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool and Spurs at home. Possible. Especially with 2 astute signings in midfield and up front. Tough last month of season though. Hoping for lots of draws between the teams mentioned. It’s going to be a hell of a ride hopefully ?

Go a step further and only allow access on the day if they can actively fail a cocaine test ?
  17. I agree. Always very fair and complimentary to the opposition win lose or draw. Think he’s a class act.

    St James' Park

Especially when there seems to be around 100 or more single tickets for this area each game that can only be sold to them and not an adult as no two seats together. Leeds technically didn’t sell out until day of game yet there were loads of older fans desperate to buy tickets for the game.
  19. Turned out a canny point after the round of results. Man Utd clearly the in form team behind us with Fulham creeping up the table. On a side note just as well we didn’t win as the short snippet of Hey Jude pre KO was jumping and glitching like crazy ?
  20. VAR threshold changed from Xmas. Also last view shows the ref was right to give it anyway.
  21. Yes but would imagine that’s the young RB he reported on a day later.

    St James' Park

Personally I’d close the turnstiles and concourse 20/30mins before KO and get people into the ground and their seats earlier to build up the atmosphere. Another lost beauty of terracing was crowds gathering earlier to get a decent spot and the likeminded fans together in larger groups slowly building up the atmosphere. Too many people turning up last minute to the ground and others just mulling around putting bets on or buying food & drinks minutes before KO. The other issue which you can’t do anything about as inclusion is important is the amount of families going. Too many kids or wife’s and girlfriends (particularly cup games) not that emotionally invested. On the other side of the argument you could say Man City at home this season was as good an atmosphere as there’s been at SJP.
  23. ?? Couldn’t be much tighter mind the lines were up against each other.
  24. You ever run the line? At full speed that’s a tough decision.
