  1. Thinking it’s probably a good thing we get to play them relatively soon. TBH we couldn’t have asked for much better the order our fixtures fell. Maybe Dortmund away first then at SJP would’ve been the only change I’d of made.

And who you sit near. I’ll forgive an odd grumble as we are mostly all guilty of that but if someone is incessant then I’ll question their support in front of everyone. Do others do the same?

    Match Atmosphere

You mean like it was pre 90’s with terracing? It be great but the irony is some on here whinging about the atmosphere have been the ones whinging about having to queue to get in the ground 20-30mins earlier than usual. Back in the 90’s under KK we were in the ground 2hrs before KO to get our singing spot. Some people still want to be downing a pint in a pub 10mins before KO then expect a instantly great atmosphere ?

    Match Atmosphere

Very surprised to the criticism of the atmosphere as I thought it was fine in the Gallowgate. The team were urged on whilst behind and cheered off for their efforts. Goals change games and they also change atmospheres and we didn’t score yesterday. I do think some of you are a bit unrealistic with your expectations at times in search of some atmospheric narnia. Yes things can be done to improve this over time (choose your seat, new stadium, increased standing areas) but as it stands we’ve still got one of the best atmospheres going. Wether that’s a low bar these days I don’t know.
  5. Yeah waking up I’m more disappointed with the injuries as if we end up 3rd that was all I had hoped we’d do. Performed well. Missed some good chances. Like I said last night it’s a game of margins. Felt we maybe rushed things at time in the final third.
  6. Yet the narrative is we are great they are shite. We are both good.

    Match Atmosphere

Atmosphere was fine and constant in the Gallowgate. I’ve asked this before but those whinging do you stand up and confront and cajole others around them? Sometimes that’s all it takes…
  8. Bit of a misstep this … atmosphere was very good especially how game went. https://x.com/worflags/status/1717302837120573574?s=46&t=DDNXUN2PoOBhgKmoF77zNw
  9. Game of fine margins. A timely reminder to those who got/get carried away. Man Utd would’ve won that game at home. #bluetouchpaperlit We are a good team but still a bit green at this level. Quicker you suss out the ref for example the better. Draw would’ve been a fair result but a 0-1 is not a total robbery either. Hopefully we can finish 3rd and regroup.
  10. Everton 12 point deduction… https://x.com/fun88eng/status/1717155471126143022?s=46&t=DDNXUN2PoOBhgKmoF77zNw
  11. Hopefully the fog lifts as they won’t be playing in this currently ?
  12. They aren’t a great team but they are a good team. You confident we are going to beat them next week?
  13. Sign of a good team. Which they are.
  14. I know McCoist is at the game as he mentioned it on the radio the other day about how gutted he was missing the PSG game.
  15. Everton have many problems but Kenwright was the least of them. R.I.P.
  16. Impressed with Copenhagen. Very well coached with a sprinkling of very intelligent players. Like the look of that left winger in particular.
  17. ?? Very true (but not direct). You’ll need to change at Penrith. There seem to be concerns about some services/weather that day (Thursday) also according to LNER. Hope all goes well for him ?? Would maybe make sense to hire a car for a few days if he can drive for how much he’s planning on paying for taxis and trains and certainly would get more out of The Lake District that way? ??‍♂️
  18. I shared this on here the other day suggesting he’d been hired… ? https://x.com/nickdemarco_/status/1714724649806737539?s=46&t=DDNXUN2PoOBhgKmoF77zNw
  19. Did he have Nick DeMarco on the case? ? I no nothing about Fagioli as a player and his contract and transfer value (?) but I wouldn’t be surprised if we got our top boy on the case.
  20. Reading between the lines I’d say someone in the box office/club has been up to no good ?
  21. For no reason whatsoever but I don’t see his ban being that long. Would love to be a fly on the wall regarding what legal positions we are talking with the activity when under contract with a different club & FA.
  22. No problem. You can always come back to me if you change your mind ?? You will be talking 3 figures for your Uber I'd imagine. To give you an idea my train was cancelled on that route last year or year before (quite a common occurrence) and with it being the last one I had to ring the train company to complain and they ordered me a taxi (Corbridge to Gateshead) and that was £70+ then before cost of living increases. Other friends booked their own that night and that company charged them £90+ for practically same journey same night. Those journeys were 23-25mile. Yours is going to 38-40mile so I repeat I’d advise against it but your call. If you can get hold of one (you’ll need to check in advance) the journey will be around an hour. Also when you are saying The National Park are you referring to The Lake District? If so Carlisle although roughly in that area isn’t particularly a straightforward transit. You really need a car to get around The Lake District. It doesn’t really have any great train links and buses will be slow and infrequent. Carlisle itself has very little to offer other than a canny night out Fri/Sat around Botchergate. I’d strongly advise you to rethink your plans ??
  23. Just really confirming what others have already shared… Last train 21:25 so you’d need to be out the ground by 21:05 and pre paid your ticket and still need to be brisk as it’s quite often the furthest platform from entrance. It’s currently marked up Platform 9. Next train is 5:42 Thursday which even maximising the late drinking hours at certain places you’ll be left a long layover in the station. If you are able to i’d cancel your hotel in Carlisle and book somewhere in Newcastle/Gateshead instead for the night and get a train next day like others have suggested. Don’t think getting the 22:53 to Hexham a viable alternative as taxi from Hexham to Carlisle would cost you a fortune. If you are really stuck I’ve a spare room at mine (Gateshead) you can use if you want to meet on the night as I’ll be out with a few on here pre & post match. Can drop you back next morning in Newcastle for your site seeing/train if need be. Good luck ?? Happy to help if stuck ??
