Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)
LFEE replied to Miggys First Goal's topic in Football
Whether it was seeing ABBA yesterday or not that reminded me but since we were first linked with him I’ve always thought a song to Chiquitita was the obvious one ??♂️ -
Robert and Bellamy say “Hi” ? I agree though, higher you are the less players you should be looking to buy/sell. Think we are caught between two stools as the first half of the season was such a write off. Are we an 11th place squad atm or under a full season of Howe last season could we of finished 6/7/8th ?♂️
-
Bruno’s quoted saying we finished 10th today ? That will be the aim but debatable that is the target for next season. Maybe it is but maybe they think we give the league half a season head-start so let’s not disrupt this group massively and add 3 quality 1st teamers and see where we are in January.
-
Who’s talking about Top 6 though?
-
It does for dressing room harmony which Howe has openly stated is his biggest challenge whilst improving the squad. Its always been seen as the right amount of players to interchange in a squad from past successful managers.
-
He’s poor 1v1. We currently have 2 wingers who rarely cross the ball for someone with heading ability as we’ve seen with how few chances we actually created for Wood over half a season. I doubt how hungry he is and by his own omission and recent statement he’s struggling mentally which as harsh as it sounds isn’t a ringing endorsement for someone who is wether he likes it or not will have the biggest expectations put on him from the fans, management and owners due to the outlay and symbolic position he’ll be playing for this club.

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26

How much £ per game are people predicting? -
Big difference to being gobby and diving about and throwing arms up in air or feigning injury and holding your head at any slightly brush of arm etc. Prime Vardy reminded me of Bellamy but I ain’t starting that debate again ?

Family enclosure possibly? Kids like the tricks n flicks. I like ASM and he’s still the only play we have when he gets the ball he gets you out of your seat to use an old cliche. The crowd turn into a vipers nest when he stays sat on the ground looking for a foul then slow to get back onside. Richarlison is next level. Like Suarez without his genius ability. Personally think he’s being overrated in all these recent comments. Bellamy by the way was a lot more honest in his play and wouldn’t compare them at all in that way. Work rate possibly but Bellamy’s play was very unselfish whereas with Richarlison it seems all about him. Whoever compared Almiron’s behaviour to Richarlison’s ?
-
Not sure how often you are going these days Chris but he gets dogs abuse from fans when I’ve been during Howe and that’s been in the more supportive Strawberry Corner area by and large. Some fans have picked up on this recently and started to get his chant going but there’s been a shift of love post Bruno and a lot of frustration shown if a move comes to nothing.
-
I’m talking about his antics. He’s a disgrace TBH. There is an art to buying a foul and there is just out and out clear cheating and flouncing about. Our fans wouldn’t like it ?
-
This. Anyone endorsing Richarlison is clearly not a regular match going fan. He’d be hounded out by January with his antics. He’s much worse than ASM and the crowd are already turning on him as the team improves around him. Can’t comment what they were like with him in the Bruce era but seemed more supportive when watching on the TV.
-
He’s been poor in all the games I’ve watched him. Maybe just bad timing. Hope he’s a world beater if we sign him.
-
Which one? (Apologies… too soon ?) Terrible news ??♂️
-
Might want to rewatch the second at least. He was shaky throughout.

40:30 into show… https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/derby-countys-administrators-exchange-contracts-with/id1482886394?i=1000562392467

Correct. I’m not convinced about him after seeing him play for Man Utd and his games against us for SU. He was ropey all game in this fixture…
-
So Villa sign Coutinho for undisclosed but reported as £17m. Barcelona announce it at €80m. They paid €140 for him. Yet it will only show on their books as a €4m accounting loss. Football eh ?
-
Who said RM have been poor this season? ? Clearly don’t know football…
-
Used to call them midfielders in my day ?
-
At least I wasn’t the only one… ?
-
Was suspicious due to lack of blue tick yet followed by other journos it seemed … soz ?
-
Same will happen to us if the owners listened to some on here ?

And no one knows what the demand will be so people might be getting their knickers in a twist over nothing ? Thats why I said gauge what the demand would be from those that quit en masse after Rafa. Do the maths and decided they can cover it and reunite a fractured fan base with those who’ve been on the other side of the fence whilst meanwhile introducing the next generation of fans. Likelihood there will still be room for new STs on first come first served and match to match tickets afterwards. Mind you. Ive a funny feeling they won’t put any more on sale other than any not renewed possibly. They'll be looking to move away fans possibly, rail seating, increased tickets going to bigger and additional sponsors. The less commitment they have to ST holders and more flexibility for reconfiguration etc the better for them. We’ll find out soon enough I guess.
