This. I just don't see what he brings to the side at all, he's a decent finisher but thats it realy, and he hasn't even got the positional sense to make any use of that. You will literaly get 6-7 goals a season from him and absolutely nothing else other than comic value.

He pissed me off more so than Ryan Taylor last night. Ryan Taylor is just a poor footballer, it wasn't his fault he was shafted by SWP. Shola though, despite his complete lack of anything resembling balance, still tries to take players on and shit (if you can call it that). He like stands there, doing literaly fuck all, waits for the defender to edge ever closer to him, puts his foot on the ball in some vein attempt to do something (anything), and then falls over. It's fucking infuriating and so unnecessary, you're shit, just pass the ball to somebody with an ounce of talent.

I know you havn't said otherwise, and i'm just banging an old drum, but had Barton been on our side instead of Obertan (and obviosly Taylor and Ameobi were not on the pitch) we would not have been raped in such brutal fashion by QPR, of all clubs. For the record, if Ryan Taylor and Shola Ameobi start the next game someone should run down to the technical area and fucking slap Pardew. It was criminal that both were not subbed after 20 minutes last night, if either start on Saturday then I know he's just taking the piss.

In hindsight like we should have seen this coming. The fullbacks and wingers we put out are simply not up to the task of playing a traditional 4-4-2 gameplan, which is what we tried. Obertan is average, he may improve, but as of now he's an average Premiership winger at best. I was happy when we signed him as I saw him as an outlet of pace to come on against tired legs. I didn't expect him to replace Barton though, who is lightyears ahead in terms of tallent. Jonas is a great asset but he needs movement around him and a good full back to link up with. He was never going to get that with Ryan Taylor behind him and 2 strikers who like to sit high. Danny Simpson is just poor going forward all together. Ryan Taylor is just Ryan Taylor. Add this to the fact we opted to play 2 target men up front, and Tiote is giving the ball away for fun this season, and we never realy had a hope of making the ball stick on the ground.
