  1. Oh Demba, you came to the Toon on a freebee Because Gold is a mong Oh Demba, you're glass knee's 'll probablies be breaking Next summer you'll be gone Oh Demba
  2. we should probably make sure we get our other targets before we flog the rest of our team though. It may be less likely that Best will be sold the later he is transfer listed, but it's not like his contract is running down, we could easily sell him in January/next summer.
  3. Ashley is like some mad auctioneer who's just listed all of his possessions, his car, his house, his wife, his kids, the lot. Probably boredom.
  4. Probably the worst comment i've ever read. We should just ignore all news like.
  5. Could say the same about Smith but we've hoyed him on the transfer list. Someone int Championship will want Ameobi and Lovenkrands, they just probably won't go, same as Smith.
  6. :thdn:This seems utterly stupid like, he's worth nowt, and his wages will be low. At the very least he's a more than caoable squad player. Now we have Demba Ba, abd er... er... no one else. Obviosly judge then after the window, but idealy we need another 3 strikers in if he goes, and thats 3 more players who have to settle into the squad.
  7. Not a chance he will be on anything near £70k like I'd guesse it would be about £40-50k with a decent signing on fee for him and his agent (i havn't a clue, like them lot, but thats what I reckon anyway). There refusal to accept us as a decent Premiership club, and instead just call Ba a greedy c*** is quite embaracing like. (from the forum I was reading)
  8. Maybe giggs like, but Christ on a bike
  9. Quite ammusing reading the Everton fans just pulling random wage figures out there arses.
  10. Lerner's definatly just having a laugh now like. Mid-life crisis.
  11. Just confirms what I said before. The group of lads is centred round the British players, and tbf they've done a good job. But it reminds me of what happened when Arsenal and Chelsea started buying foreign players, there were lots of similar noises from the British players who got sidelined. Unfortunately we haven't got the money to spend on players like Henderson and Jones. or even if we have I wouldn't back it. Funny how Arsenal putting their experience out to pasture has coincided with winning f*** all for six years isn't it? Funny how Alex Ferguson packs his squad with British squad players for that very reason isn't it? Baffling that England don't win the World Cup every time then since every English player is a warrior and a hero and all foriegners are useless, bottling c***s. Xenophobic nonsense. Man Utd won the league this season and only 1 Englishman was a regular starter. pretty sure he said British and not English like, it is a hard mistake to make like, what with the rest of Britain been a s*** hole and that. Arsenal went the season unbeaten with just 2. I'm not saying a squad has to be packed with english players to succeed, but thats factualy incorrect anyway. Their typical line-up was Lehmann Lauren Cole Campbell Toure Pires Ljungberg Vieira Gilberto Bergkamp Henry Regardless of there typical line-up there was more English players in the squad which was the point I think (including Parlor and Keown who would fit the "lads" description). I dont entirely agree with it anyway, but having a core of players with good craic who all speak the same language can only be good

  13. Having a core group of fluent English speaking players would obviosly be helpful to a squad like, they don't even have to be British. American, Irish, Australian etc who can connect on a similar wavelength. Having a massive hodgepodge of languages across the entire squad cannot be helpful for obvios reasons.

  15. Did it not cross his mind that it would be like Ferguson joining Man City, not on that scale but would seem like it to Villa fans The City fans would love that though.
  16. Nolan was shit in the 'Nolan position' anyway, he was much more effective further back with a couple of strikers ahead of him.
  17. £4m is the reported fee, I think. Doubt West Ham would have upped to £4m from £1.5m in a couple of days, mind.
  18. So we missed him by default as his replacement was Alan Smith. We'll be saying the same thing next season when we're missing Cabaye.
  19. End the thread here. There is nothing more to say. There is though, like confirmation of the sale, the fee etc. Thread back open.
  20. Delusion? Theres a lot of daft opinions been slung about like, but I think you should probably look up the meaning of the word delusion.
  21. Erm, I think thats the point everyone is making.
