Could Zoggy not just buy himself out of his contract if Wigan are taking the piss with this whole "cheaper to the top 4" nonesense? (obviosly with us funding it). I don't know the proper ins and outs of the Webster ruling like?

Luiz seems like a proper nutter

Yeah, IN THEORY we should never give the ball away. I doubt it will work out anywhere near as well as i've envisaged, but what i'm seeing is pretty sexy. -

Nice stats about Cabay in that article, paragraphs like this lead me to doubt the guys credibility as a writer like: Barton’s offensive intent often forces Nolan into a more withdrawn role (as was seen against Wolves), but installing Cabaye alongside the destructive Tioté in the heart of the midfield will unshackle the Newcastle captain, providing balance and composure in the centre of the pitch. If Barton does decide to depart St. James Park this summer, Newcastle certainly won’t miss him. -

We're hardly a "club steeped in viscous turmoil at board-room level", like. -
Was inplace of Jose aswel wasn't it, with Duff on the left? Fucking hell man that was a horrible season like.
-
Would be satisfied with Ba as 2nd choice next season tbh. Not exactly a marquee signing but he's handy.

Cabaye would realy suit Ginola style long hair. Can just imagine him modeling a pair of CK boxers, sprayed down with water and lying on a rock of limestone. -

He played around both boxes, not afraid to get back and also support, if that's a box to box then aye. But really what impressed me was his first touch passing, hope our squad don't find it too fast to deal with. lol. Nice to hear, especialy on the passing. If his passes are short and quick though I think Ameobi will be rendered completely useless! -
We need ATLEAST 2 strikers first and foremost imo, Best is the only player we have that even vaguely resembles a premiership forward (going off the dozen games or something we've seen). I wouldn't say another winger would be a 'luxury', but I think we're equaly in need of another CB (and some would say a RB, although I think Simpson is competent enough). HBA, Barton, Jonas and seemingly Ferguson are all decent enough to occupy the wings for atleast half a season imo. What i'd like to see in order of priority, anyway: Striker Striker Center Back; Winger Right Back Center Mid

For anyone who watched him playing for france (or Lille) is he the box to box kind of guy he was mentioned to be earlier in our quest to sign him, or is he more of a ball player? EDIT: Or a bit a berth? He had the most touches in the league according to someone so i'm guessing he's got decent technique? -

If thats true then that a horrible way to run a club, "pointless bidding on him man, he PROBABLY won't come" There is a thread about this on RTG currently. Mackems think this is just a case of knowing what's realistic and buying safe because Newcastle are just trying to string us all along in order to boost ST sales. While that is quite a reasonable thing to think it also could be because we genuinely want these kind of players and you've always got a chance until the bigger boys come sniffing, there is more value in other leagues and we are trying to sniff it out not spunk it all on a duo of Darren Gibson, brown Jesus man It's this 'touch of class' lark again isn't it

NUFCThreatLevel Lucas Podolski is as mentally stable as the people currently trying their hardest to link him with #NUFC right now..

Aston Villa appoint Alex McLeish as new manager
Hanshithispantz replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
He hasn't "turned us down", we haven't even spoken to him, let alone offered him the job. Read this: http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~2374417,00.html Of course he turned you down, you made an official approach and he decided to stay at Wigan. He said he wanted to stick to his commitment to Wigan and didn't want to speak to us. Who knows if he'd even have been offered the job? What did they want to speak to him about like, the weather? Of course he turned youd down, you asked to speak to him , he said no Obviosly not because he doesn't find it an attractive club like, because it is.
