I agree with you btw Cajun, was more stating that most strikers have a tendancy to go missing so it's a bit harsh to critisise him for "only having a good 45 mins". If he was from the continent and had signed last January instead of the one before people would be raving about him imo

People still seem unconvinced because he was utter turd in the Championship it seems, like all strikers he has a tendancy to do little throughout games (although he is pretty mobile and good at taking the ball down from the air). His goal record since Wham cannot be ignored though, and best of all about half of those have been clinical. He might be a confidence striker like, can see his composure dropping a bit if he hits a rocky patch.

To put it simply, imo he could gain nothing in the advancement of his career, or in financial gain by staying at Newcastle. He can gain nothing in the advancement of his career, but has recieved massive financial gain by joining QPR.

You can blame him when he said just weeks ago that he wouldn't do exactly what he has done today. Aye he looks a bit stupid like, but what else could he do? Stick around for another mid-table year here and then hope some other club willing to take a gamble will come in with contract as great as he's gotten from QPR? Yeah, but how would that help him? He took the lucrative contact which he may never be offered again, you cannot blame him realy. He could have stayed, and I woukd have had massive respect for him if he did, but at the end of the day he's done what most footballers would have done in similar circumstances.

Aye fair enough, theres no reason we couldn't fill all of our gaps though if we wern't so inept and actualy willing to put our incomings back into the squad (that's another argument though that has been done to death). All i'm saying is I would be happy if we brought in a genuine quality right winger (with a good right foot), and certainly wpuldn't be worried if he performed well enough to keep other players out of the side.

I would prefer a better right winger than Gabby Obertan like, if we were willing to bring one in. Especialy considering we've just gave a better player away for free. If this happened, how would it be bad for the club? Especialy considering the latter 2 are central midfielders.
